Worked a long late day/night. Finally was able to pick this up tonight. Have it chilling for a few in the fridge -- I'll follow up with my thoughts.

I had one that sit around last night because I got distracted by something, and it was much better as it approached room temp. Definitely don't drink this beer too cold, folks. Enjoy!

Finally got to try this last night. After reading the reviews here my expectations where high and I must say it did not disappoint in the least. Extremely tasty and full of flavor. Right up there w the best. Easily in my top 5. Pours dark black with a nice foamy head. Go's down smooth and easy with enormous flavor throughout. Very balanced. I can't say enough good things about this beer. Well done Sixpoint.

Got a 4pk of this last night and opened one up as soon as I got home. There was tiny head that instantly dissipated. The taste and mouthfeel was more watery than expected. I did not get all the intense flavors everyone else is describing, but more of a harsh acidic flavor and mouthfeel. Everything seemed a bit off. I'm not too knowledgeable on problems that occur with beer because I've gotten pretty lucky not to get any, but I think my luck may have run out. Anyone else get anything like this? I'm gonna try another tonight and see if maybe it was just the one can.

Did you drink it frosty cold? if so, start letting it warm up...

It will be thinner than a stout, but there are tons of flavors that you should be picking up. Dark chocolate & roasted coffee bitterness, and some sweetness from the vanilla to soften it up and round it out.

I drank it at about 50 degrees and let it warm after about halfway to almost room temp, which didn't help. I assumed it would be thinner than a stout but this was thinner than any regular porter I've had. It honestly seemed like a porter than had a cup of water added to it. I noticed a bit of chocolate, but that's about it. No coffee, no vanilla, definitely no sweetness. Hopefully it's an isolated incident.

Surprised to see this sitting on the shelves here so I picked up a total of 6. Think this will be my last beer of the night, pretty excited as this will be my first @Sixpoint beer!

Exactly. I never knew that was an option.

Love this beer. It is like dessert in a can. As several people said, it is dangerously smooth, and went down way too easy for a 10% beer. The vanilla was perfect. I love vanilla, but very few beers are able to pull it off and it usually comes out chemically or too strong. Well done.

I like playing with aging beers, but 4Beans doesn't need it at all. No alcohol hiding any of the beans, and the flavors are all balanced. Since @Sixpoint and others recommended it, I'll stash some extras to see what happens. IMO, coffee fades with age, but that's the fun in experimenting.

It was. No acidity or thinness to speak of.

My god this stuff is good though, I'm a vanilla fanatic so I could have dealt with more of that but the coffee and chocolate alone are enough to make this beer amazing.

I strongly agre, i found that as it warmed, the booze did not become more intense, yet the vanilla and coffee came out much more powerfully, while not overpowering the natural malt goodness of the beer.
