    listening to this, which i can't get over...



    actually i'm listening to a different version of martha argerich playing chopin's piano sonata #3, first movement, but it doesn't make a huge difference...

    Started off the night with a nice fresh bottle of Smuttynose "Finest Kind" IPA. Here's to Jerry Garcia and all the great memories.

    Ok bros, I did not get a chance to post about it last night, but here was the results from Hats off to Homebrewers 2012 Boulevard / Deschutes Collaboration Kansas City, Missouri......

    On the left is a Hop Ridge IPA, on the right is a Boulevard Collaboration #3

    Then on to more stuff, although these pics are not in order....left is a Tank 7 Boulevard, right is a Hop in the Dark CDA. Thats with a pretzel roll with some heavenly cheese in the middle.

    Finally, my last pic is some burnt ends (or whats left of them) with a Black Butte Porter. Can't ever go wrong there.

    Evening BA! I too made the unfortunate mistake of running out to grab some IPA's after work. Bummer...
    Super fresh sea hag with floating bits of hop particles. Gotta love me some NEBCO! On deck is a 2012 WWS.

    Fun fact. My first legal craft beer purchase was a six pack of sea hag and a four pack of aprihop as I was heading to a party up at Uconn. The sea hag was way old and had some diacetyl butterness too it. So in my college wisdom I shotgunned the six pack and funneled the aprihop. Haven't touched the beer since citing bad memories. Had a sample a few weeks ago at the brewery and it turns out its a glorious beer.

    A great line-up at the opening of a new bar in my neighborhood (The Cambridge): Hill Farmstead Double Citra, Hill Farmstead Myth of Saison, and Goose Island Sofie. All in all, a pretty great night.

    while i usually like to extol the genius of NEBCO with every NEBCO-relevant breath, the truth is that sea hag new recipe (very recent change) is several orders of magnitude better than sea hag old recipe. i doubt NEBCO brewers or even-more-loyal fans would agree with me (and they shouldn't; they should take pride in what they do)... but it seems like night and day to me.

    Never any complaints about Mr. Dale ala Deviant. I can't wait for IPA Day and my growler of Gandhi-Bot my coworker is so graciously picking up for me. Cheers all!
