[IMG] Great news for those of us in SC; this is one of the better DIPAs I've found in the region. Cans will be great to keep it fresh and the design is pretty cool, I think. Adds to an already solid lineup for them.

I agree with everything. I visit SC frequently and this is such a good beer. So excited.

I will give these a try if I see them but I have not been at all impressed with the COAST cans I've had thus far.

Which ones have you tried? HopArt has been good every time I've had it. 32/50 seemed to have something off with the March 24th batch, might have been infected. Every other batch has been incredible though - one of my favorite beers.

I've tried Hopart a few times. The first time I tried it was right around the time they started canning, so I figured it was just a bad first run. Tasted like bubblegum.

I've picked up a few more 4 packs since then and while none have been as bad as the first, they are a far cry from what I remember of the fresh bottles I tried. Did they start dating the cans? If so, I don't think I've tried it since they started doing that. Maybe they just don't travel well? All the cans I've had were bought in either Greenville or Fort Mill.

They need to add some malty, dark beers to their line-up. It's nothing but hops, except BBA Blackbeerd. Non-barreled Blackbeerd is too hop forward as well.

Haven't noticed any issues but I don't buy HopArt as frequently - probably my least favorite beer I've tried from them although still good. That kolsch is a world-beater though.
@WckdVbz agreed, they do release bottles of the Bull's Bay Oyster Stout, Rye Knot Brown Ale, and others intermittently but I'd like to see at least one full time. Not sure they have the capacity for it right now though.

I haven't really liked this or Hop Art when I've had them in the past, will have to give them another try in the cans.

I think the Kolsch is OK in the cans, but haven't been as impressed with HOPArt, which I loved the first time I tried it, I wasn't crazy about Boy King, and I didn't like Blackbeerd at all (esp at $17 a bomber)

Beautiful cans... Boy King is a bit too malty/sugary sweet for my tastes, but these are beautiful.

Really? I think the BA Blackbeerd is the best SC beer of the year to date, including Mexucan Cake. I also think 32/50 is a world class Kolsch. Agreed on HopArt though, it's good but not great. There was also at least one early canned batch that was definitely off (which is very non COAST like); tasted like it was brewed with a saison yeast.

I think COAST does a really good job with non-hoppy beers. I already mentioned the Kolsch, I thought the Pilsner was very good, I also really enjoy Red Legs, Dave Brown is fantastic if you like heat, the Octoberfest is the best SC Octoberfest by far; I don't love the Altbier but most beer fans I know rave about it. Granted It would be nice if they had an every year Barleywine/Old Ale and expanded their IS's, but that's not really what they do.
