Upgraded to first class on both of my legs to Minneapolis. 5 Hours flight time. Thrown back six Sam Adams Boston Lagers and counting. Free beer is awesome especially when its something good.

I seriously didn't plan it, but I just found out today is National S'Mores Day. That worked out well.

Where did you get the TD snifter??!! I have never seen anything but a pint glass and that Rosewood (or whatever it is) mini pilsner glass they use at the taproom.

Almost my last bottle of Trillium. I am already bereft in anticipation of the horrible moment to come. I have really fallen hard for their stuff. Why, oh, why do I always fall for those people/things I can't have (or can only have if I'm willing to fly/drive long distances causing friends and family to express concern about my sanity, "don't they have beer in the stores where you live, honey?") Sigh*

    Reviews:

This was far better than the reviews would lead me to believe. Really solid APWA. Aromas and flavors of lemon, orange pear, apple, honey, wheat, cracker, light pepper/clove, and herbal/grassy hops. Light herbal/spicy bitter finish. Well balanced estery Am Wheat yeast and earthy hop flavors; with honey and pale/wheat maltiness. Good robust flavor; light-moderate dryness. Smooth medium bodied finish; with a light-moderate amount of wheat creaminess in the mouthfeel. This was all around pleasant and enjoyable; a good style example all said and done.

Omnipollo Schiuma Party Wine Barrel brett saison. This was outstanding! Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, lemon peel, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, pear, apple, white wine, oak, peppercorn, honey, cracker, herbal, hay, grass, and musty funk. Nice sized peppery/earthy spice finish with light tartness/tanginess. Great all around complexity and balance between the wine barrel and saison/brett yeast combo; good supporting pale malt background without too much prominence. Light-moderate dryness, light touch of lingering acidity. Fairly crisp, but mostly due to the quick tartness after the finish more than carbonation(though it did had plenty of that too, initially). Just all around really fantastic stuff. Glad I let that sit for a year.

Odd looking beer to pour, pure evenly distributed haze in an deep orange/copper color. This was pretty nice, though also interesting. I went in expecting a barleywine or something, but it literally just tastes like a huge ESB. Aromas and flavors of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, plum, pear, apple, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and herbal/grassy/peppery hops. Good sized peppery/piney bitter finish; with a light-moderate creaminess in the mouthfeel and fairly sticky/resinous lingering finish. Smooth sipping, mimimal warming alcohol. Overall certainly something a bit out in left field, but I ended up really enjoying this. Good balance between hop, yeast, and malt flavors; pretty traditional in taste to an ESB overall. A touch too bitter, but not all that cloying.

Would have posted this earlier but Imgur was being a pain in the ass. I found this at the local bottle shop. I couldn't tell if the date on it said 2015 or 2013. Decided to buy it as it was reasonably priced for The Bruery products. It is only listed on BA if you look in the retired sections for The Bruery.

Turns out this thing was brewed in 2013 only. It was a decidedly boozy treat. It was 8.7% on the bottle, but I have a feeling it was a little higher than that at this point. All in all it was pretty tasty given the unknown and likely dubious storage conditions. Well worth the 11 bucks.

Also gonna have to ask my mom for her Chimay glass.
P.S. Schlafly pumpkin tasted pretty good, need to buy more, methinks even though I only had one so far.
