I was looking at the top Texas beer list yesterday and saw Endeavor was pretty high on the list. I had completely forgotten about this beer because I haven't seen it on the seen it on the shelves in so long. Is it just my area or has it not been bottled for a while? I needs me so Endeavor!
I see it just about everywhere I go, which is a good thing. Which should be expected, I am in Houston. One of my favorite classic style DIPA's.
It's available year-round in 22oz and 4pk 12oz format. As long as our distributor (Silver Eagle) in HOU has available, we have at Spec's Smith St. I'm either dumb (likely...) or you've only listed TX as your location. I'd have to know more about where you're located to offer more than I have.
In in San Antonio. Glad to hear they are still cranking it out. I guess I need to change up where I look for it. Thanks for the info guys.
Wasnt this beer supposed to switch formats to 4/12oz. I havent seen anything but old bombers in Austin.
I can only speak to authorizations by location. I don't know inventory or dates in store/coming from distributor. San Antonio: 5219 De Zavala, San Antonio, TX 78249 210-561-0900 Authorized for both formats: 4pk & 22oz via Silver Eagle (San Antonio) Dallas: Most locations showing authorization, but... 9500 N Central Expy, Dallas, TX 75231 214-369-2800 Authorized for both formats: 4pk % 22oz via Ben E. Keith Beverages If you're seeing issues with dates, bring it to the attention of the beer department associate in store, or a manager if they're not available. They'll do what they can to get this taken care of. No one wants out of date beer out there.
The thing about Endeavor, is hard to find it fresher than about 8 weeks old. The bombers at my local HEB don't move at all. Even the 4 packs are old at every place I've been. It's a great beer and even better fresh. It used to be the only local DIPA on the shelf until Rodeo Clown, Hop Delusion, More Cowbell, and others arrived. Now it's the oldest in production of locals, but very under appreciated. On cask, it's just the tits.
