I would list Schlafly, Good Gourd, Pumpkin Smash, and The Great Pumpkin as all very good (although different), but Selin's Grove Pumpkin Ale is amazing. It's draft only with no growler fills, so you have to drive to the middle of PA in October/November to try it. I plan on making the trip this year.

I really enjoy Wastch Pumpkin ale (even with its lower score), Pumking of course, and my favorite has probably been Pumpkinataur Wrex from Capital Brewery in WI.

I love Schlafly but i want to again try Out of Your Gourd Pumpkin Porter from Redhook. I picked one for a mix six last fall and didnt remember it being great, but worth revisiting. I just different spins on pumpkin beers.

The only good pumpkin ales I've had so far were Southern Tier Pumking and Pumking Warlock.

The others I've had weren't that good:

    Fegley's Brewworks Imperial Pumpkin
    Sarnac
    Smuttynose
DFH Punkin---this one flat out sucked to be honest
    Uinta Oak Jacked Imperial Pumpkin
One who's name I can't remember but I tried it recently at a beer festival.

I realize that's only six, but I don't know. I'm starting to wonder if this style for the most part just isn't for me.

Post Road should be condemned. One of the worst beers every (pumpkin or otherwise). That's just my opinion of course.

I'm a huge fan of Schlafly as an easy #1 favorite. Pumking with some age on it is pretty high quality big pumpkin beer as well.

Actually the Sam Adams Fat Jack I found quite tasty despite the SA hate-bias on this board. Worth giving a try IMO and keep an open unbiased mind.

The were going for $5.99 a 12oz single bottle in my area for Pumpking. Kinda excited for the small format but price per oz. isn't quite worth it to me.

Pumking. Especially now that it's in a 4-pack. I would kill to try the Rumking or good gourd.

Not a fun of the pumpkin ales at all, but as far as having a pumpkin influence, Warlock was pretty solid.

Elysian pumpkin beers tend to rock. I went to a tap event for them last year and the 3 I tried were all pretty sick. I'm also a sucker for Dogfish Head Punkin Ale which tastes just like pumpkin pie, if that's you're thing. Devils Backbone's Pumpkin Hunter is a bit more savory but similar to DH.

I've had quite a lot of them. My favorites are:

    ST Warlock
    ST Pumking
    DFH Punkin
    Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin (Smells fantastic)

Haven't tried but really want to try:

    ST Rum Barrel Aged Pumking
    CCB Good Gourd

Brooklyn Post Road was definitely one of the worst beers I have ever had.

DFH Punkin is not very good at all. Nice package design but the ale is crap.

Think those are my 2 favorite as well, although I like the Whole Hog better.

This one's really underrated. I also liked Elysian's stuff and Warlock. Out here, Oakshire makes a good one called Daft Punkin, and Burnside's Dapper Skeleton is also solid.

Pumking, Warlock, and Schlafly are my favorite. Hoping to discover some new ones out there. Last fall I had some that really let me down (Wild Onion's Pumpkin Ale is awful).
