They each have websites with delivery days and locations.

I know. I should have been more clear. I also want some suggestions about timing and such. I'm trying not to drive 2.5 hours and come home empty handed.

I recommend popping open one of those amazing beers you already have on hand and spend the night reading through some of the fantastic threads that already exist on this subject. You won't go to bed disappointed!

They are all easy to get if you follow the threads. It's been spelled out many times my friend.

Here's the necessary steps for a great VT beer run. Follow these precisely:

Step one: go to Hill Farmstead
    Step two: whatever

Sheesh I did a 9.5 hr round trip and I almost went home empty handed. Didn't much care for the 2 Lawson's or 14th Star I had and I'll have to check out Farmstead, but if you're going to make the trip I'd go for the Heady. Got it at Waitsfield grocer at 8am on Tues, and Beverage Baron in Barre comes in at 1pm on Mondays. Good luck!

You can get HF in most bars around Waterbury and Burlington. Don't see why people feel the need to go there for growler fills unless they just want to.

Yeah, but things do change, sometimes week to week. And there's nothing like a little up to date skinny. I would expect nothing less as a BA going somewhere I've never been before and have limited time.

Their saisons are the reason I am driving up there on Saturday. I hope they are worth the trip.

Because having 5+ growlers and numerous saisons you can enjoy at home is better than a couple pints at a bar?

I guess you want to then. I was referring to the people who just want to try HF or fill a growler or two. You can drink a lot of HF in Waterbury during the time it would take to drive to HF
, using the gas money you save.

Our tradition is to head to the Waterbury Dam and the site of the old CCC Camp and chug right out of the growler. The rest we revere.

Now is a great time to head up to HF because of the large bottle selection (HF shelf saisons are some of the best craft beer bargains). Although it may also pay to wait until the tasting room opens. Based on the photo posted on Twitter this morning, it looks like the tasting room has about 40 taps. That should speed up the growler filling process.

They're the reason for the trip as far as I'm concerned.

For those of you hitting up HF tomorrow I can't recommend strongly enough buying a few bottles each of Nordic Saison and Brother Soigné. Of everything available there now, those two really blew me away.

For heady/sip, be prepared to either wait in line (heady) and/or get lucky with timing the SOS delivery. We drive to VT last thursday (8/13), and stopped at Hunger Mt Coop in Montpelier. We arrived at 11:40 am, and there was about 15-20 4 packs of SOS on the shelf and no line. At 11:45, it was all gone. We talked to a couple guys at checkout who were in line at 730 am for heady cases (9 am opening) who were I think 23rd in line. They got cases of heady. The other locations in Montpelier for SOS told us they get deliveries at 2 pm and there is usually a line.
