    Nice glassware!

I think the "incorrect" referred to the suggestion that SN "contracted" with a Riegele. But the poster could have made it clearer.

I'm waiting for @Oktoberfiesta to chime in here. I'm sure this dude will do a blind tasting with a good number of those mentioned here.

Also, it's little use to those outside of New Mexico (and outside of Albuquerque, really) but La Cumbre, as much as they're known for their IPAs, can actually brew some mean lagers. They do a set of beers, VMO #1-3 (Vienna, Marzen, Oktoberfest) and they are pretty phenomenal.

Penn Brewery Oktoberfest is my go-to. I get it right from the brewery and it's super tasty.

    Gotta try the GLBC version!
it's getting so many votes here, but here are my favorites:

    new SN collab
    Lefthand Marzen
    Odell Marzen Lager

All the classic, readily available German versions are great too!

Paulaner and Spaten, of course. Staghorn is good. Sprecher is good, from what I remember, I haven't had it for a couple years. Sam Adams is pretty solid. I guess I'll have to get my hands on the new SN and GLBC (never had it somehow) at some point this year. I actually didn't really dig the Ayinger one last year, maybe I'll have to try it again.

"Oktoberfest" beers I don't like: any double/ imperial whatever, SurlyFest.

I thought the new Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest was amazing. I like the style in general but a lot of german offerings I've had tasted great but also like they might be past their prime. The new SN tasted true but FRESH.

That said I'd love to go to Germany and get some fresh Octoberfest. I'm sure it would be like totally awesome man.

I will be drinking copious amounts of New Glarus Staghorn while it's available. From reading this thread I need to try Left Hand's Oktoberfest this year too.
