Just a quick shout out for the little, local guys. I was in Hudson and stopped into Medusa Brewing and - having enjoyed myself - thought it might deserve a little love here.

I don't much care for IPA's and so I skipped the hops. The English Mild (a good style I don't see all too often) and Brown Ale were both tasty, though.

    No real kitchen on site.

Thanks for stopping by, @RedEcho. We do try to keep a fairly balanced draft list going.

I may have to visit. With Gansett eliminating its Cream Ale could be nice to have a fresh local option for the summer. What are the tap room hours. Growler fills?

They are open Wed-Fr 4-10 and then Saturday to Sunday 12-10. They do fills but sometimes not all the beer: http://www.medusabrewing.com/

I may swing by today. Sucks I missed new DIPA by 1 day. Today is my one opportunity. Looks like they have Prosperous on tap any options? I am assuming no more Laser Cat.

Yeah looks like it kicked and I don't see Luminary, the cream ale on.

The new IIPA sounds great. May need to get myself in there on Saturday to give it a shot.

I was up there a month or 2 ago, and was really impressed. Get a growler of Porter and one of the ESB. both excellent. Will need to get back soon.

I think there's a bit of Cream Ale left, actually, but the last keg is low enough that we're not doing growler fills. We typically stop filling growlers when we're down to the last barrel or so, to try and keep the taproom selection diverse. Draft list should be otherwise accurate. Zweihänder DIPA debuts on Friday (and at ACBF!)

My wife and I stopped into Medusa for the first time on Saturday night and really enjoyed ourselves. We had 2 samplers (8 beers) and liked everything we tried. We also really liked the space, and it seemed like a great place to hang out (although the music was a bit too loud). We picked up 2 32oz growlers and will definitely be heading back there to refill them soon!

On a side note, we stopped into Rail Trail Flatbread afterwards for some appetizers and the food and taplist were great.

Check out New City Microcreamery across the street from Rail Trail next time you go.

We saw it and were definitely curious but had to get home to the babysitter... Checked out the menu the next day, and it's definitely on our list for the next trip. May take the kids and get food (Rail Trail), beer (Medusa) and Ice Cream (New City).

Thanks for stopping by! Things have been going well enough that I was able to quit the day job at the end of May, which has translated to us having 11-12 beers on tap instead of 6-7. We should also hopefully be able to maintain some outside draft presence at our few but truly wonderful draft accounts. Oh, and more tanks already on order.

There's a good article in today's Globe focused on the owners behind the microcreamery and rail trail pizza. This fall, they'll be opening a new bar accessible via the microcreamery; it all sounds good.
