Headed to downtown Indianapolis this upcoming weekend and looking for some recommendations on what to check out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers!

The crown liquors downtown is easily the best bottleshop around.

I would take a car/uber to broadripple and check out Brugge (which is also within walking distance to hopcat). New Day meadery in fountain square is pretty rad too.

Crown is the best bottle shop downtown. Tomlinson Tap is my beer bar of choice. Brugge and Black Acre are worth the uber ride.

You must go to Black Acre. Broad Ripple is fun for a night. You can find many places to have fun.

Crown Liquors downtown is the best shop. Tomlinson is a nice bar that only has local stuff on draft. Black Acre is the best brewery in the city. Fountain Square is a nice trendy area that has New Day, a local meadery, and La Margarita, a Mexican restaurant that has a great beer list. Also, the burrito Azteca is awesome.

I agree on Black Acre. Black Acre will also have Central States on tap. They are a Brett only brewery doing some quality beer. Right downtown is a place called Tow Yard. The food is good, the atmosphere is great, but their beers are just not up to par. I go there because of the taproom food and the guest taps.

There is also a Yard House right downtown if you don't feel like venturing to Broad Ripple - it doesn't quite the quality of HopCat's or Twenty Tap's draft lists, but with 130 beers on tap, you could surely find something decent.

Interesting to hear you say that over Kahn's! I need to have more Black Acre but I think Bier or Taxman are better but I guess Taxman isn't technically in the city

The decline in Kahn's has been astonishing. Al was holding everything together for sure.

Interesting. I went in there a couple weeks ago for a Hunter Coffee and they didn't seem to be on top of their game
