Looks like reDankulous started hitting shelves in GR today.

Picked up a couple bottles at Cap and Cork. $10.49, seemed to be moving swiftly.

 

How dank is that taste?

 

Haven't tried it yet, from what I've heard it's really good. Pretty close to founders Cheef ipa, which was amazing on tap.

 

Damn, was hoping founders had forgotten about this beer

 

If it truly same as Cheef, it was decent. However...at this point of the year, I'm kinda getting sick of IPA's.

 

Anyone hear any more rumblings about Mexican Breakfast Stout in December?

 

No but it would be nice to see this series get back on track.

 

Yeah because Blushing Monk was so bad
I feel like every summer people complain about the Backstage releases then they get released and are excellent.

 

But it wasn't aged in barrels that held virgin unicorn tears that was previously had aged the sap from 2000 year old Himalayan Entwood. That is why this series sucks now.

 

Blushing Monk was fantastic but 3 out of the last 4 I thouhgt were pretty weak additions to a series that once was made up of CBS, Better Half, Doom, ect.

 

The only entries I've been really disappointed with were Big Lushious and Dissenter, and in both cases it was mostly just because I thought they were overpriced.

I think the Backstage Series is fine, Founder's just shot themselves in the foot by starting it off with some absolutely legendary beers and was never going to be able to live up to that insane standard.

 

When Doom came out, it was crushed on this site..That was a really good beer...Dissenter is a really good beer..I thought Big lushious was a really good beer...But @westlaunboy is right about the price...

In seriousness, the only one I haven't really cared for was Dissenter. I liked Big Lushious quite a bit, but it was so sweet that it had to be consumed in small quantities. The first four ounces I drank tasted like a freaking dark chocolate-dipped raspberry, but over the rest of the bottle, it started to be overpowered by raspberry sweetness.

 

Yea I dont hate Founders by any means. I would just rather see them do alot of these "backstage" beers in 4 packs instead of forcing out 3 per year that don't "fit" with everything else that has been done.

 

Still plenty of Dissenter on shelves!
