Samuel Adams Brewing Company will be releasing a new line of nitrogen infused canned beers. As of now, there will be 5 different offerings in the series: Coffee Stout, White Ale, Pale Ale, Pub Ale and Red Ale. All will come packaged in a new Samuel Adams 15.2oz can with a widget that will release the nitrogen upon opening. No details on when these will be released yet, but I would assume this will be a new national marketing effort for Sam Adams and therefore will be released across every state in their footprint.

I will try the coffee. What is a pub ale?

Similar to a Brown Ale. Light and nutty. Tallgrass Brewing makes a spectacular Pub Ale.

I really dont like nitro anything but some of the best nitro beers ive had are ipas and pale ales. Completley removes any bits and the hop subilties really shine through in my opinion.

Sam Adams isn't nearly the first to do a nitro pale ale so I'm assuming the reason why is because there are people who like them. Even Founders has a nitro pale ale on tap year round.

If Sam Adams did a nitro Irish Red I'd pick a few of those up around St. Patrick's Day.

I'll hit the coffee stout up. Glad that Left Hand is releasing a Nitro Coffee stout as well.

I will try these. At least it's not Nitro Boston Lager.

Anyone else think the Pale, Pub, and Red look exactly the same on the label? I'm guessing they'll taste that way too.

I've had the same beer on nitro and CO2 and the nitrogen makes it smoother but you lose tons of flavor. First couple times it was fun but now steer clear of the black rubber taps.

I'm actually excited for these, I love a good nitro beer. I don't get all the negativity towards SA....

X2 with coffee. Other styles done with nitro are completely lost on me, but if it's brewed right a stout/porter can be quite good imo.

Wonder how different the technology is from the Guinness cans.

    2 Things:

    1. It doesn't take but a second to read through topic to see that there are people who care.
    2. If you have no interest in Sam Adams' products, why would you even bother clicking through to the topic in the first place? Is it that important that everyone scanning this topic on BeerAdvocate know that "Kraj30" doesn't buy Sam Adams products?

A couple of these sound tasty, trying some for sure, definitely not a direction I would have predicted. Whooray for cans!
