    Front of house

Service industry term for dining room/bar manager. BOH, back out house, would be the kitchen or brewing manager. I really don't miss those days. I couldn't remember the exact term Asa used so I used FOH as a catch all. Maybe bar manager...

Oh. I thought it was going to be some sort of joke once decoded. Color me disappointed.

Maybe you should circle the 3 days that you are available each year and we can work with that! :grinning:

Oh cool. Yeah that may be a thing then. I am flying solo that week with the wife on a family vacation, what better way to kill the time by start drinking at 9am on a Sunday I guess. Downside, that's like 4 hours after my typical bedtime. heh.

Zach got back to me about the tasting/share:

"The 6th would work for us. We're going to be closing the taproom at 5 PM that day though we're having a company retreat. Let me know what you think."

That means we'd have to do it early. Opinions?

Early could be good, given the Sunday.

Thought I'd make it down there but couldn't sadly, hopefully tomorrow. Here is the description...

We’re excited to announce the release of Lou, a beer made in partnership with the nationwide Ales for ALS program. With a hop blend featuring Equinox, Mosaic, and five other experimental hop varietals, we knew immediately what we had to do: a big, dank, and hazy Double IPA. Clocking in at 8% ABV, Lou is a symphony of lychee, pineapple, mangoes, peaches, grapefruit, and grass – a tropical fruit salad, if you will.

Anyone open any Vintage BBVDs since they bought them? Haven't has am 11 or 13 yet. Debating when to crack one. Have an 11 through 14 vertical so maybe wait for 15.

@brewgentlemen doing some work this week: Three new beers arrive this week. Lou, our Ales for ALS Double IPA (tonight, 8/19) / Sunshine Elixir, a dank, hazy American Blonde (tomorrow, 8/20) / Prototype 10: Coffee Milk Stout (Friday, 8/21). Looking forward to the stout, definitely will be making a trip to Brew Gentleman this weekend

The description alone may make it my favorite of the Ales for ALS beers even without having had it, as I don't recall any of them favorably impressing me yet. Anyone here had one that they recall liking?

Troy, how is that Calm Before the Storm? I picked up a bottle at VE last week. Sounds delicious.

I didn't. But I made the mistake of pairing it with JuJu and a Trail Head, and it may have been lost in that company. Don't know that I've seen a brewery chose to do a DIPA as their ALS beer, so I'd like to try BG's.
