There were like 4 left on the shelf when I left Zipp's last night. Limit 1 per person. I want to say they were like $22 or $23.

As a guy going to Minneapolis at the beginning of September and whose parents are not adverse to the idea of driving 25 miles into Wisconsin for beer, is that a deal breaker?

Did you clean out this mystery store and posted here to gloat? Or are there bottles left and you forgot to share the name of the store...?

I cleaned out the shelf, but it seemed like there might be more in back, owner was non-committal about it.

It is the only non-grocery store liquor store in New Ulm. I forget the name, but it is right on broadway. Had a bunch of love child 4 and other boulevard goodies as well, I picked up a rye on rye and the 2014 imperial stout coffee.

You JUST posted a trade offer. "SO I ended up with a few extra bottles of Starkellar Peach" Did you buy them just to try and trade them for stuff? I just don't get that kind of thinking....

Bought a couple to trade yes. I wasn't able to get Rum King, and would love to try it. I don't plan on trading all of what I got, but I see nothing wrong with trading a couple bottle of it.

So you're going to begrudge a guy who cleared out a store a month after a beer was released? Now posting about it might not be the most couth move, but come on and lighten up Francis!

Someone was posting about trying to find some, and that's why it was mentioned the last few pages. I don't care that he cleared out the store, but he took more than he needed when people are still looking for it. If it was me, I would have bought what I wanted, plus one for the guy who was looking for it yesterday & given it to him at cost, not hold it hostage for a Rum King. Different views. Cheers.

Yeah, I find this to be in poor taste. Most BAs will try not to clean a store out in this fashion. Grab 3 or 4, and let people know that there are a few bottles left, since people have been looking.

Or, clean it out and don't say anything about it.

I think this thread exists to help people find something they are looking for and haven't been able to track down. Using it to hoard bottles, get your 5th and 6th bottle of a beer, or brag that you cleaned a place out and are trading them on the open market when others are just looking for one isn't the spirit of this thread. Not gonna say that you can't choose to do those things, but that isn't what this is for.

I can get on board with limiting one's self when something is newly released. Heck I started one of the first bottle hunt/new release report threads several years ago and had a twitter feed dedicated to letting people know what I was finding, but if something has been sitting for a month or more you shouldn't feel any obligation to the "community" to leave it behind for the next person. It sounds like the store that the original post was talking about is a virtual beer museum. That store needs customers to help turnover their inventory to allow them to clear their books and bring in new beer. And lets not forget the store was in New Ulm, I don't see many BA's running down their after work, if ever.
    To each their own.
