Digging into my NC Haul, Greenman Rainmaker DIPA as check out various scratches ( 2"-4" in length ) on forearm from my insane puppy. We are going to have to drag this dog to the groomer when my wife gets back, his claws are out of control.

Oh that's awesome. I will have to look at mine when I go up to my parents. My ex husband and I drove right by Dresden years ago to go deer hunting. He would not stop for me to check the place out. Very selfish hence the reason he is the ex husband.

Golden Monkey is a nice finisher. With me though that Monkey made things worse.

    Mead side review:

This was super tasty. Really nice juicy and lightly tart/tangy flavors of fresh peaches; balanced by medium honey sweetness and light fruity esters. Lightly crisp finish with petillant carbonation levels. Really well balanced and super clean. Pretty much all of the Mead from Hideout have been spot on; plus they are all hydromels, so all super drinkable. The apple pie one was by far the best out of all of them; but definitely an all around quality lineup of session meads.

    Regular reviews:

Heard some horror stories about this one, so let's give it a roll. Actually pretty damn solid to me. This was oddly satisfying in a way. I've never had a bloody mary, but this was pretty well balanced for what they went with here. Aromas and flavors of lime, tomato, dill pickles, chili pepper, garlic, black pepper, salt and white vinegar; with some light cracker/bready malts in the back. Light-moderate spicy pepper finish with some tartness and salinity in the mouthfeel. Felt like a weird gose on first sip. Pepper heat builds up a bit through the glass, but not all that much heat overall. Very smooth and fairly crisp finish; with light lingering acidity/salinity. No cloying spice flavors. Felt like a spiced up gose after I got acquainted with it. Lager felt clean as well, not that I'd be able to see any yeast notes with all the spices. I enjoyed this a fair amount. I'd put this right around the same way I felt about short's variation. Really solid. There are plenty of reasons why I don't listen to reviews about this type of oddball stuff. No regrets :grinning:.

Expected this to be a witbier, and it's a saison. Wrong glassware, but I went with whatever BA said for the style; so it looks like I need to send another style update yet again. Anyways, this was really good. Aromas and flavors of lemon, pear, apple, white grape, peppercorn, coriander, clove, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate amount of peppery yeast spice and light yeasty tartness on the finish. Well balanced yeast, spice, and malt flavors; with a great spicy finish against malt sweetness. Very smooth and fairly crisp finish; with some light wheat creaminess in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate dryness after the finish. Very well done.

This was excellent! The Omnipollo marshmallow/vanilla stout. Aromas and flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toast, molasses, licorice, vanilla, and big wood smoke/char Good sized roast/char bitter finish. A big creamy/slick mouthfeel with some balancing roast malt stickiness on the finish. Warming finish with no booziness. The balance of bitter/sweet roasted character improved as it warmed up a lot. Not sure where the marshmallows fit in here with all that malt, but maybe they roasted them over a fire or something to add to that huge roasty/charred/woody character. All around delicious.

    Cheers!

On a Maiden kick all week.

Whew glad to be part of the club. Thank god I don't have to get up tomorrow. I would drink something else but it's either the Sorry Chicky's or 10% or above left in the fridge. I'm going to have to really workout tomorrow after all this lol.
