    I'm more of a Schlafly's guy, but its been a few years, so maybe I should revisit? I do tend to like my Pumpkin beers on the higher octane scale though...

    Friend of mine traded me a half dozen different bottles of Toppling Goliath since I've never had any TG beers before. These both were very solid, but I would give Pseudo Sue my nod of these 2 for being a tad better. Look forward to trying the other TG he gave me as well. Cheers!

    Hot tub beer was/is a Founder's Backwoods Bastard. Tons of stars despite all these street lights around here. Having said that, you drive 2 miles in any direction & the ambient light is fairly low.

    while on the subject of pumpkin beers
    yesterday I was suprised to see Smashed Pumpkin in 4packs ... so I had to grab one

    its so strange that smashed is good and the lower abv pumpkin head might be the worst out there
    scratch that the buffalo pumpkin beer is the worst

    One of my homebrew amber coffee stouts. I didn't like it so much when I first brewed it, but it's gotten much better with about 6 months of bottle conditioning. I'm moving my oldest son out of the house tomorrow and off to college. It's hitting me harder than I thought it would... so I'm having a few more than usual for a weeknight.

    Schlafly's IPAs are great.
    Word is their pumpkin beer is great
    I'm not a pumpkin beer guy so I will take "their" word for it

    the only way I buy another beer from these guys is if they in someway reference " put the lotion in the basket" in the name of the beer
