Just realized I haven't taken inventory of my (small) cellar in a while, might do that this afternoon (realistically would only take like 30 minutes)

Hint #4 - I'm going to go to a brewery release this weekend (in GA) to try and snag a sour beer for my target. Also, my target is older than I am.

 

Just finished taking inventory... 1631.7oz. I'm sure way fewer than many locals

 

9,986.8 ounces, 1,661.2 SBUs (though about 10% of my beer doesn't have the ABV listed, which throws that off. Time to get drinking!

 

I should probably take an inventory at some point. It's hard to keep up with a list with everything coming in and out at such a quick rate. Here's the majority of it, minus several cases of mostly 12oz stouts and HF saisons:



I bet some of you recognize some of the visible bottles as ones you've sent me, and I'm sure there are some there now that will get sent off to many of you.

 

Hey guys, I'm heading to Tired Hands this afternoon and can grab a couple growlers for one or two people if anyone is interested. It's easiest if I am just given "IPA" "Saison" or "Both" and then trust my palette based on the available choices, but if there's a specific request from the taplist I can try to accommodate it. BM or text me.

 

Man, this is tempting especially since there's a reasonable chance I'll be in the "greater philly area" (read, about 45 minutes from actual downtown philly) in 2 weeks or so, but that time frame + my money situation means I'll have to pass.

 

Whereabouts will you be? With your buddy in PM?

Nah, a buddy of mine from college who lives up in Green Lane is having his third annual end of summer bash -- I try to get there each year since we don't get to see each other much anymore, but work might get in the way. I'll actually probably know tomorrow if I'm going to be up there. I'm actually entertaining the thought of hitting TH that Sunday (9/6) for a beer or two possibly. I know it'll be quite a bit out of my way and I'll likely be incredibly hungover. Again though it all depends on if I get that saturday/sunday off as requested

 

Damn, Tired Hands is wayyyy out of your way from up there. When you said "45 minutes outside the city" I thought you meant "45 minutes from downtown", which is maybe a touch further out than I am; you seem to have meant "45 minutes from city limits"

In any case, let me know your plans and if I'm around I'll happily grab a beer with you. I can also help out with recommendations for places not so far out of your way.

 

Yes we've got quite the collection of empties that we're trying to whittle down.

 

Eh, I google maps'd it and while yes it is quite a bit out of my way, might be worth a trip. It's about 45 minutes from his place to TH, and from there about 2 hours home, where it's just about 2 hours from his place to mine, so really it's adding about an hour total to the drive while it's quite a bit, isn't awful, at least when I don't get out that way often.

Either way I'll let you know what my plans are -- even if I do get out that way I may or may not hit TH
