Quick trip to the Research Triangle for work. Awesome bottle shops!

 

This isn't really a haul. I got to work this morning and when I looked at my podium, there was a sixer of Spotted Cow!! A guy who works for the bank (whom I have talked to a LOT about craft beer and even went to an event during Chicago Craft Beer Week with) went to Wisconsin for a few days and I told him he should try a New Glarus beer and instead of doing that, he decided to buy me this pack!

Thanks Steve!!! I gave the branch manager 1 to try. He's a BMC drinker but I've given him a Surlyfest and a Coffee Bender which he says he enjoyed. We'll see what a Miller Lite drinker thinks of a cream ale....

Good news is I didn't even break the wallet too much. Yumm.......

 

I'm moving to Ohio today but decided to make one last beer run before I leave, so I picked up a bottle of The Bruery Smoking Wood and Evil Twin Imperial Doughnut Break as a parting gift to myself.

 

I would definitely drink the BOMB! now so the coffee and chili flavors don't fade and you get the full experience. (Not to mention your money's worth! I don't know why Prairie's stuff is so expensive.)

 

Where did you manage to find Evil Twin Pappy and Cognac??

 

Cognac was released at just 2 stores, and Pappy at just 1.

 

Damn! Where? Just curious.

 

It was in the Pappy's IBB forum: St. Gambrinus and Covenhoven. Thus far, it was only Torst otherwise, for in-house consumption.
