I learned today that Holy Mountain will be brewing a fresh hop beer, according to the HM rep I spoke to (the guy who poured me my beer and sold me my bottles today) it's tentatively called "Cone & Cone." Will take the place of Kiln & Cone during fresh-hop season.

Just saw Matt Van Wyk swimming in a pile of wet hops on his FB thread... Oakshire will have at least one, but they are known to do multiples.

Laurelwood posted on their facebook that they will be brewing two all new fresh hop beers and also fresh hopping a couple of their classics.

Makes me wonder if Vasili is brewing any FH beers this year, or just pining for his days at Lwood while watching barrels age at Hill Farmstead...

This relates to something I've noticed about NW fresh hop brewers compared to those around the country: nowhere else does anybody seem to make fresh hop versions of recipes in their regular lineup. FH Workhorse, FH Pallet Jack, etc. The rest of the country, and plenty of breweries here, seem to use fresh hops in dedicated recipes. I wonder if we're on the leading or trailing end of a trend to modify existing recipes, or the numbers here allow for some outliers that don't show up anywhere else. I haven't been keeping track long enough to know if 5-10 years ago, there were more, less, ir roughly the same number of examples.

Sharpski, I think it's the richness of diversity you see.....many breweries, not all the same. LTD!

Hey everyone, Zach from Three Creeks here, wanted to let everyone know we are bottling our Cone Lick'r Fresh Hop Pale made with Centennial tomorrow and brewing our Hop Wrangler Fresh Hop Red today with fresh Chinook. Next week we're brewing a fresh hop ESB with crystal. Cheers!

That stuff must be seriously fresh. I stopped by the Sellwood pub on Sunday and it wasn't on tap yet (unfortunatley, as I was hoping to sample it). Very, very jealous...

not trying to be a hype-monger, but it might be the best fresh hop beer I have ever had (up there with fresh hop pallet jack). Im really not even a huge fan of Laurelwood, but this was outstanding. Tasted like fresh hops and watermelon with damn near zero bitterness. Like hop candy

Delivered to their distributor on Monday, dropped at our place yesterday morning, and on tap when the bar opened at noon.

Also, people should try the Full Sail FH Pils made with fresh Perle. It's got a wonderful lychee fruit thing going on that works surprisingly well with the base beer.

You pretty much nailed it. Everyone who tried yesterday mentioned that it tastes like watermelon.

Fresh hop Half Hitch is being brewed soon. My parents are picking up the hops Friday morning and then taking them to Larry at Crux later that morning.

Flying Bike here in Seattle is another brewery quick to brew a fresh hop ale. In this case it's a pale, using fresh hops from the backyards of members. Sorry I didn't think to record the specs but memory says it was 4.3% and definitely 25 IBUS. They have 15 kegs so it'll be around for a while.
