Is that in the style of Pensyllvanian swankey - as in a licorice/anise mild? I brewed a tiny batch recently with some similarities to swankey which will be served at an event during WA Beer Week...
From the horses mouth: G’day Case, You’re a braver man than me drinking that beer, but thanks for taking one for the team and supplying your feedback. Unfortunately there are no written records of what went into that brew but the blokes who were around at the time (we have a couple left) reckon there was some port involved. We do know it was our lager beer of the day (Gold Crown) with mystery ingredients added (probably port or some other fortified wine). Cheers, Frank.
