    Hello All,

    In college I fell in love with Jack London's short stories; more specifically his Klondike stories. I couldn't believe that people so young and battling unbeatable odds could be so brave and strong.

    Even in my thirties, my favorite cheers still reflects those idealistic days (everyone is an emotional sap about something).

    My kids roll their eyes and think I'm ridiculous but I don't care. My favorite cheers is from London's "To the Man on Trail" :

    A health to the man on trail this night;
    May his grub hold out;
    May his dogs keep their legs;
    May his matches never miss fire.

    What's your favorite toast/cheers or otherwise way to raise a glass?

    Lately I've settled on a takeoff of an Italian saying that goes "chi mangia bene, vive bene" (who eats well lives well), which is "who drinks well, lives well".

    Although I don't use it, "here's to swimmin' with bow legged women" is a classic. Quint from Jaws, also in another form on MASH.

    #1 - "Ching Ching" - My best man used my cheers at the end of his speech at my wedding and it was awesome to hear everyone say Ching Ching to start the festivities.

    #2 - Here's to nipples, without them tits would be pointless!
