So I failed miserably at the 10,000 calorie challenge and only got to 6,154 if I am not wrong I'd have to double check at home. I know some of you are like I had 3,000 for breakfast etc well keep in mind I am 5'7" and 165lb and usually only eat 1,500-1,800 in day and a 7,000 cal a day diet is not the norm for me. So to me the fact I ate 3.5x the nomal isnt all that bad and this LIF was never really about actually hitting 10,000 it was more about giving away some beer and it looks like @NickyPogs is the winner with a guess of 8,842. BM me your address and ill try to get you out some beer soonish hopefully.

Gotta love friends who "get" your whole beer obsession. A coworker just got back from Cali... brought me a bottle of Pliny (8/18 bottling). Looking forward to trying it so fresh - my previous tastings were all around the 3-4 week old range and I didn't think it was worth the hype.

Chalk up another win for me people! If there was a LIF to see who would win the most LIF's, I would win that. Shaun, I would love to accept this box of beer from you, but seeing as we're probably only about 80 miles away at most, I'll be passing this on. Everybody's porch better be on alert.

Keep in mind, we're only busting balls. Trust me man, I'd LOVE to be 165 (well, the 6'0" equivalent).

Pliny is a phenomenal beer, there is no doubt about it, and the fresher the better. Keep in mind when drinking it though that you are pretty spoiled by things like Trillium. The hype Pliny has is because it has been around for something like 15 years; in that time it was revolutionary, and only in the last 3 years or so have beers better than it started being made at all.

I think you'll really enjoy it, especially that fresh, but don't expect it to be anything like Tree House or Trillium or other much more recently created IPAs.

Trust me, I know I'm spoiled with so many amazing New England IPA's easily accessible. My first Pliny was 3 years ago and we did a side-by-side, 2-day old Heady vs. 3-week old Pliny, and it was a bloodbath.

Also, spoke briefly with a couple Trillium employees at Hop Jam - unfortunately they currently have no plans to can anything, so I think we're going to see that 750ml format as their exclusive offering for a long time. Unfortunate, but understandable since it's working so well for them.

Haha okay, to give me more of a chance lets go with 350 :stuck_out_tongue: (assuming the last person hasn't guessed). And hopefully my opponent doesn't see this

I don't see that as unfortunate at all, I have yet to sit down with a Trillium bottle that I wasn't very happy for the extra 9.4oz. The only unfortunate part of that is that cans are easier to ship than bottles.

Hint #1 - I have not secured a locals handshake from my target.
Hint #2 - Just took a trip to Trillium to hit one of your several wants from them, but also got their newest DIPA for you. I think I'm going to ship early to get the ball rolling with this round, maybe Monday for a Wednesday arrival?
Hint #3 - Shipping out at lunchtime to someone who liked my last hint post.

I would look like a skeleton at 165 lbs. Lowest I ever got as an adult was 175, and people told me I looked sickly.

225 would be pretty awesome, though...

@PA-Michigander @PG2G - Now I've got to change mine too...

I'll go with an even 300 - not quite a PIR, still plenty of room between the guesses.

I find these @PA-Michigander LIF guesses interesting, that people don't want to "PiR" or "just take the over" (or under).

Since the guesses are heads-up, it's still an over/under, either you guess one above/below your competitor and their guess is the line; or you make a different guess and the over/under line is halfway between the guesses, it's just a matter of where that line is set.

There's no way I can lose this round, even if I lose.
