AleSmith Brewing - Vietnamese Coffee

Thought some of you might be interested in this tidbit of info I got over the weekend. Went down to Alesmith to pickup BASS and do a IP trade for VSS. Stopped by the new observation room and chatted with the bartender a bit. Apparently this latest batch of VSS was small on purpose. They had to use up some old bottles before they move over to the new bottling line, and they decided to make a small batch of VSS to do that. Since the bottle count is only 600 total, they decided to do IP sales rather than have it sell out in a millisecond on BPT. So for anyone going this Thursday, the amount of bottles being released should be the same as last Thursday (less than 300). Hope this helps, cheers!

 

What are you doing introducing facts to this discussion? It's so much more fun to post idle speculation, even better from people that have been to Alesmith once or twice in their lives. LOL

 

When I asked if they were changing their bottle formats he said no, and that the tolerances for this specific run were in the MM. So maybe it was just one small amount of bottles that didn't transition? Didn't get into that level of detail. That was just their reasoning for the small bottle count and the way they handled the sales.

 

Lines already at capacity today? Can anyone confirm this?

I had Vietnamese on tap a few weeks back in the Bay area.

Wasn't working for me...

 

Hmm... I'll have to talk to them about sending that out of San Diego. That needs to stop.
