So much awesome. I referred to this as the sour GTMW to some friends today because I had such an incredible and memorable day while only tasting a small portion of what I was interested in overall. You can only try so much! Incredible event with great volunteers and guests. Thanks to everyone involved, I hope to reap the benefits of the leftovers for days and weeks to come…

What were the favorites on draft/bottles?

Hommage and Boos were obviously great, but Mure and Tilquin squared took the cake for me in bottles.

It was super fun to gave Cantillon Classic on draft (I think I had 4) and the Crooked Stave offerings were great as well.

Event was run very well, great job El Bait!

Mure definitely was a highlight. I missed out on Boos, Hommage, and Squared unfortunately. Cantillon Classic and Tilquin Geuze on tap were both great (and drinking the Cantillon Classic next to the cheese samples that were going around was some next level shit). On the bottle share side, Casey Grape (thanks for sharing your pour Eli!) Peche N Brett, the Hill Farmstead stuff, Enscorcelled, Imperial Apricot Bu, and Snorkel off the top of my head were among many, many highlights.

Being able to drink couple of Tilquin Geuzes on tap was definitely a highlight for me. I missed a lot of the good bottles, but managed to get a pour of Hommage so it's hard to be disappointed. The Hill Farmstead, Logsdon and Jester King beers were definitely highlights of the bottle share. Not to mention getting to meet and catch up with some great people. Thanks again to Where The Wild Beers Are, El Bait and Fredrique for putting on a great event. Can't wait for the next one.

Can't forget the Cheese Shop for providing those samples. Damn that was good.

The Cheese Shop itself is a awesome place. Glad I swung by there!

Yeah, probably was me. Sorry if I caused delays or ticked you off. Was just trying to stay on top of the pours. Was a great event!

Back in June some buddies and I were sharing beers at 515 Brewing. One of the first beers we popped was White Chocolate from The Bruery. We all had our pours and left some in the bottle and went up to the bar and gave what was left to the bartender, as they wanted to try it. About 15 minutes later, we look over at a table next to us and @tapperm and his buddies had the bottle of White Chocolate at their table and were drinking what was left in the bottle and checking it into Untappd. Pretty sure the same thing happened with my bottle of Rum King that night too. None of us said anything, but a very lame move for sure.

Whoever the bro at the bar was, yelling at the bartender about not being able to get him tickets and a glass...that bro was lame. Everyone else seemed like a chillbro to me. A lot of people get heated about shares. Some people treat them differently than others. For me personally, unless I'm offered, I usually won't just take something. I'll rarely ask to be included unless I've brought something either. Just my personally preference.

My buddy and I saw that douche bag yelling at (you?). Now I, a connoisseur of long hair, hate not on his long hair and totally cool hat (I think a hat was involved) but his asinine approach towards generous people pouring amazing beers. He was indeed a twat.

That being said, anothet great event. Wish I could have gotten a Framboos pour (or Hommage, I at least got to try it last year though) or a Mure pour. Again, infintile gripe as so many other great beers were available on draught and from bottles. Thanks again to those "helping" out.

The bottle share was also well run, again. I do have to say, I'm realizing I become a bit irritated at these big beer events in regards to the "people". It's not the majority nor even close to it but a handful of self-indulgent and selfish people bring these otherwise outstanding events back to earth a bit. Not everyone is entitled to a pour of every goddamn beer. We all have to miss out on some and those meandering through people, literally through at times, in "lines" of people already waiting for a pour, or posting up the entire time at a station is just not true advocacy and is quite rude.

Yadda yadda...I had a blast and love doing this. Thanks again to the WTWBA crew, EBS and their helpers, and Frederique and Abu Nawas. Bravo.

I think it's a learning process. I felt like this year went a lot smoother than last year, even with a bunch of new things. There's always room for improvement, but at the end of the day...Cantillon Classic was on draft. On draft in Des Moines, Iowa and I think most people at least got to try it.

It was also fun seeing the spectrum of beer nerds. You could tell a lot of people were newer to the scene or maybe just didn't have as much experience with some of the beers just by their pronunciation of certain beers. I try not to sound too much like a dick when I correct people, I just want them to be able to converse with other nerds and not be ridiculed for stupid things.

I thought it was a great time and I'm glad I was able to come back and help out.

I liked the way the paid bottle portion was set up last year better than this year. Easier for people to navigate through. If you want a pour of something specific though you should probably show up early. Far more entitled to think you're going to show up at 12 and get pours as fast or often as people who showed up at 11.

To the guy who was yelling about not getting a pour of framboos. Someone offered you theirs and you declined, so I guess you just wanted to be mad?

I completely missed the guy yelling but I think I got a little carried away myself . It was a really cool event. Met a lot of cool nerds and looking forward to other shares. My only suggestion might be to make it 3 hours instead of 2. The pace was very fast but I think it had to be in order to get through all the bottles.
