Awesome event , got o taste some of the best IPAs in the country without having to leave the state! Even when the entire crowd was inside the event, didn't take more than a minute to get a pour . Was amazed of the quality of IPAs ! Was really cool to listen to a Mariachi band at an IPA festival, definitely a change of pace to the usual bluegrass and cheesy music at most festivals.

A mariachi band? Now I'm really sad I didn't go.

Festival was excellent @ModernTimesJacob . VIP ticket was worth price, lined up at 1:45pm & got in quickly w/ the early wristbanding. Staff was extremely helpful the whole time. Was glad to have the opportunity to talk to brewery staff while volunteers poured. Saw a number of people drop their taster glasses, so there was a plus side to them being plastic. Needed more restrooms, like you mentioned. Solid merch booth, selfishly would've maybe liked to see some of the out of State companies be able to sell theirs like at FWIB. Beautiful San Diego day by the water, looking forward to next years!

Top tier fest. Everything @ModernTimesJacob produces (beer and events) is quality, and this was no different. Love the fact all the breweries brought solid beer (even Cellarmaker managed to sneak some Imperial Coffee and Cigarettes in). Can't wait for the Funkfest, and hope to see SARA and Jester King bring some stuff more in line with their strengths.

Oh man, that Imperial coffee and cigs was so stellar. Was just enough to get me away from 1up for 2 minutes.

Suburb event Jacob. Your beer of course is great but your integration with the beer community is even better. Whenever the actual Modem Tones beer comes out will further cement you as the greatest living Beer Advocate forum brewer. Keep up the great beer and if you have the capacity just make Oneida year round. It would make all of us happy.

Excellent event by Modern Times. There were only 1 or 2 breweries that had lines the entire event and even those moved quickly. The selection of beers available was outstanding. Great location, beautiful day, hard to ask for anything else (except the previously mentioned bathroom count).

Awesome, thanks for all the kind words, everyone! We're feeling pretty damn good about it today, and really motivated for the next one. Fun times.

Just a heads up, I'm leaving for a badly needed 2.5 week vacation on Wednesday, and I'm trying to stay off the interwebs as much as possible while I'm gone. So if you've got any questions while I'm away, just shoot an email to [email protected], and someone here will definitely get back to you.

Oh, and we actually looked into making Oneida year round, but we couldn't get enough Hallertau Blanc :slight_frown:

    Cheers & thanks,

That's too bad @ModernTimesJacob. Guess we can settle for Booming Rollers year round then...am I rite?

PS: Have a cockstaggering good time on that vacation.

    This is good thinking.

But Mega Black house should also be on the year round wish list too

Dial up sounds pretty tasty. Anyone try it yet?

Also, anyone know what Modem Tones is going to be?

It was quite good at the anniversary party.

Fruitlands is pouring at the tasting rooms. Pretty delicious. Wonder when Modern Times is going to put out a beer that is at the very least simply mediocre.
