His bottle he was sending me broke, he said he would replace it with something else equal to the value, time went by and the "open trade" status we had dropped off due to neither of us leaving feedback (we were in limbo), now he says he is done trading because he got burned from a different trade.....
If OP got his name right, there isn't a use with that name so I'm guessing they retired their account. What beer are you out @chippo33?
We agreed to the trade and both accepted the trade request. Just before I went to ship out the bottles on my end, he said his cat knocked the bottle off his table. I waited for him to get a new one or something equal to ship my bottles. This week I emailed him asking him the status and he emailed back saying he was done with trading and that was that. I didn't lose out on the bottles I had for him, but I obtained them specifically for him (waiting hours in line early on release morning), and lost out on a chance for the bottle he was going to send me.
The person posts 4 different trade requests within 2 days & then two days later suddenly retires his account and is done trading, presumably due to being burned on a trade? Seems a bit odd to me.
Well, at least it sounds like the bottles you got for him were somewhat limited and desirable so you probably won't have issue finding another trader? I dunno, just trying to look on the bright side for you!
Had a trade set up with him. Blackberry Cut for Velvet. The day of the Velvet release he claimed he got an email from BPT saying his credit card had been denied. I thought this was weird that they would wait til the actual day of the release since the tickets were sold ahead of time. I politely asked to see the email because I thought he was lying. He said he'd sent it when he got back to work Monday. Then on Monday he messages me and claims he argued and that he was now going to be able to get bottles. He said he'd ship first and even cover shipping both ways due to all the "confusion." I was certain he lied about the whole CC being denied so I said that's fine. He never shipped and stopped responding to messages. I am not out any beer, but he's one shady dude.
I've received messages from others who have gotten burned by him. If anyone wants his information message me - I don't know if its ok to post it here.
