    From CCBs facebook page yesterday:

Look what we have here! Tocobaga Red Ale was packaged this morning and just hit our tasting room shelves. 6-pack cans are now available, $11/each. They will also be heading out for distribution throughout Florida.

Been waiting for this to come back for quite a while, its one of my favorites. I hope it sticks around, although their website now lists it as a special release beer and not year-round.

It hasnt been available in cans for at least 6 months. There was a canning issue at some point, I wanna say at Brew Hub but Im not 100% on that. Its been on tap at the brewery for a few weeks but its been a loooong time since Ive seen it in stores anywhere. Im swinging by the brewery tonight to pick some up, its my favorite hoppy red.

Dude, but red ales aren't even en vogue these days. So 10 years ago!

*Seriously though, I like red ales a lot. Its a shame styles like this aren't considered "cool" anymore

It is one of the better red ales I've had. Not a big fan of this style at all, but I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a fresh sixer. Hell, I'd be happy if Virginia could just get steady supplies of this, Maduro and Jai Alai.

unlike most CCB beers, this one can actually be had not as fresh and it still tastes great.

Now thats what I would call fresh.... Too bad hoppy beers really start to fall off about an hour after they are canned...

I bought some this summer that was canned in June so not been canned in 6 months isn't accurate. Agree this one has a longer shelf life than other CCB hoppy beers and is always delicious.

Are you sure it was June of this year?

Just went back and looked at check in on untappd. Didnt take pic of bottom of can but I always closely check can dates before buying. I bought a freshly delivered 6 pack on Friday 6/5. I remember it was less than one week old - I think it was actually only 2 or 3 days old, so canned between 5/29 and 6/3. Was super fresh. No way it was a year old. I also had about a month old can at a bar in fort lauderdale on 7/5 and no way this bar would have year old CCB in their cooler. There was a canning around the beginning of June.

Maybe a small amount went out into distro before they caught the canning issues...I know it hasnt been for sale in cans at the brewery in at least 6 months (and they always have cans there when its in distro). Everyone on FB was commenting how its been so long since it was released, so maybe you got lucky by finding some.

It's true. The Brew Hub canning issue caused lost batches/leaky cans for Tocobaga, WOJA, and Cubano Espresso
