what is your beer inventory habit?

  1. buy one 6-pack at a time

  2. buy a couple of 6-packs or bombers at a time

  3. continually buy, disregarding how much you have in "stock"

I have a mini-fridge that I only use for my beer. it can fit 26 bottles and 18 cans exactly, trust me I've studied it closely. i also have a large fridge for overstock but try not to use it because then my family can get a hold of it.

i try to keep my mini-fridge as full as possible at all times so i visit the store a few times a week to grab a 6 or a bomber just to keep it stocked.

right now i have, in varying amounts, 26 different beers in both fridges. 11 of my 26 have 2 or fewer bottles/cans, i got a variety 12 pack.

do you buy a couple 6 packs and wait until they're done to re-up or do you continually buy to keep a good amount in your stash? i'm interested to see how other people maintain their stash, if they even keep a stash.

No stash for me maybe a few BA stouts aging, but mostly 6s and a bomber here and there. Done for health reasons mostly, prefer to stay fit and lots of beer in the fridge doesn't help.

A small stash of cellared stouts. But my fridge inventory is kept thin to manage freshness. I usually buy the equivalent of 10-12 beers a week (a steady mix of old reliables and newbies).

Depends, if I'm out on the road I'll stock up and buy as much as reasonable w/o over buying since these beers aren't available locally. Locally, I just buy what I'm going to drink for the week maybe two weeks as the stores are close enough to make a spur of the moment beer run.

Beer only basement fridge, steadily full of way too much, bombers, bottles, and cans. Small purchases weekly, but then when the stars align, a big purchase is usually made.

And the wife wants to know if I need to stop for any more everytime we are out lol. Plus got the dry storage stouts and barleywines

Usually buy somewhere between a six and a few bombers to 3 six packs a week. Trying to get more into buying things besides ipas with short Windows of freshness but they are so good!!

Also had a mini fridge for only beer but unplugged it for the summer since that and the AC in one outlet blows all the power out. So now i just keep everything in a closet until i put what i want in thr fridge the next morning for that day after work

I have a beer fridge that holds about 50 bottles ( 22oz/750ml). So my buying pattern tends to follow my capacity. I buy more as slots open up, buy less when they fill up.

I trade a lot so I like to keep at least two of anything worth trading and good extras around. Like the guy above me 500+ bottles in my cellar at all time. Some aging, some to drink now, and some to trade away for better stuff!

No worries, man! It's a time consuming and expensive habit. Between vaping and beer I'm gonna be broke! :flushed:

Leave work on Friday and hit the bar next door with the guys from work for 1 or 2.
Then tour the 3 most important beer stores in the city and buy anything that's new for the weekend.

i take an annual beer-cation with the family, touring a different region and tend to come back with a trunk full of whatever i find on that specific trip, other than that, i hit my local shop 3 - 4 times a month based on what they post on their social media as newly available. winter is coming so i will be knee deep in stouts and barley wines, can't wait to ramp up my shopping for my favorite season and styles!

I am different than most. I keep my supply very small and fresh. Luckily for me I have very easy access to a good bottle shops. I'll typically buy a six pack of six different beers and a bomber or two, when I'm down to 1 or 2 in the fridge I'll restock. If I'm expecting guests I'll stock up more, if I have an unexpected guest we split beers.

I tend to buy large quantities whenever I road trip to great breweries or great brewing countries. Massive quantities right now, but I'm working it down as fast as I can.
