Firestone Venice Brewery

I'm really excited about this, but I agree parking and traffic over there is the worst. It doesn't make any sense, Lincoln and Washington are such wide streets right there. I wonder that costco is still gonna have parabola for cheap.

 

I would imagine FW Venice would be a sort of Barrelworks lite with more of the Paso brewpub feel to it. I mean, there's no way they'll match Barrelworks since the stuff is right there in barrels to tap and try out. Driving it out to Venice would mean it has to be more of a planned thing. So yeah, it'll have more off the wall stuff than Paso, but it won't be like a typical BW board.

Add in small pilot stuff if they can get the permits.

 

Would've loved if they'd picked Playa Vista instead... with all the new offices going up over there (including mine) and a decent amount of room out there, could've made a killing.

Not complaining, however. Will still find myself over to Venice plenty once it opens.

 

ive been told multiple times at barrelworks that venice wont really get a lot of barrelworks stuff, will mostly have one offs and pilot batches (like you said permit willing) from the brewhouse they are building, as well as the stuff paso has.

barrelworks lounge area? Fuck yeah! looks like theirs a good chance barrelworks releases WILL make it to venice, at least on draft.

 

That was always to be expected. But I won't count on seeing liberations there. I'll more than likely be like Paso. They get a small amount of the releases tossed into the cold storage part of the gift shop randomly.

 

Pretty excited about this. I figured they won't have liberations there but it would be cool to get some of that stuff on tap there.

 

it would be fucking amazing. honestly, it's not that often i can break out a full bottle (solo) of parabola, sucaba etc.. but i can see myself getting some tasters of that very very very, very often
