I'm admittedly new to craft beer rating/tracking (established Jan 2015) so this is what I got so far.

    1. BCBS Vanilla Rye (Goose Island): Blown away by flavors/aroma and drinkability for its ABV, one of my first BA stouts and still favorite
    2. Pliny the Younger (RRB): had twice in 2015, which I guess means I'm lucky and waited <1 hour combined. Hair better than Elder IMO.
    3. Omniprairie (Prairie Artisan/Omnipollo collaboration): Shocked how much I liked this, kept finding it, and each time had different experience, so much complexity of flavors for me.
    4. Double Dobis (Cellarmaker): Had this first in April and it was probably #1 for year at that point but had it again in August and it either changed a little or my palate did or bit of both and while I still loved it, it dropped a peg.
    5. Dinner (Maine)/Julius (Tree House) tie: I thought both of these were awesome, big aroma and tropical fruit flavor that improved/developed as they warmed.

Honorable mention: BCBS Coffee, Heady Topper, Victory at Sea, Alpine Nelson, Parabola

    1. The Kernel - IPA Citra (My favorite brewery of the year so far. Bummed you can't find them in the states at all)
    2. Other Half - Mosaic IPA (Best can release of the year, IMO)
    3. Tired Hands - Alien Church (Best summer IPA of the year. Crazy melon flavors)
    4. Grimm Artisanal Ales - Rainbow Dome (Second best brewery of the year)
    5. Carton BOAT Beer (I probably drank this beer more than any other so far this year)

The only negative I had was a little buttery (diacetyl?), but the addition of Citra and Nelson dry hops, along with the "iron like" flavors represented to me an awesome current or updated take on an ESB (a style I truly love but doesn't seem to get much attention). Your take? Cheers!
