Little late in the season to be pouring pumpkin beers don't you think? It's almost September. Time for Christmas beers!

Like high percapita bus stops. And gridlock.

@troygreer i thought sweetwater had some decent offerings. At least in the hoppy realm. I'd take a pint of hop hash over Fat Tire any day.

I'm assuming you're referring to this pic?

Yes, none of us were impressed. Troy, @Matthouse3, and I all thought they were pretty mundane. The Todd the Axeman on the other hand...holy balls. #1 IPA for me.

For a transplant, you've adopted the mentality pretty quickly! Nah, East Liberty's got a burgeoning restaurant, retail, & arts scene, plus a lot of real estate ready for renewal. It makes perfect sense to me to have another brewery pop up there.

Good point. Was there a brewery there yet?

I was thinking East End, but I guess that's in Larimer - my mental map of East Liberty is a little more expansive than the actual physical boundaries. My hunch is there probably was one many, many years ago, though.

Yup, that's it! That's a nice looking haul. Love the 16 ounce cans, especially the Tree House offerings.

I'll have to keep an eye out for Todd the Axeman. That's some very high praise.

Yeah you're either crazy or whoever got the Treehouse cans from you had them in their trunk for a week. Green and Haze are both up there with Hill Farmstead IPAs.

I've had 2 HF IPAs and Tree House shouldn't be mentioned in the same paragraph as them based on my experience. I've had Julius, Haze, Green, and Lights On from their first canning run. Lights On was by far the best of the bunch.

EDIT: Green was canned on 8/13, consumed on 8/27.

I agree with this. East Liberty seems like a good choice for a new brewery. The neighborhood is on the rebound so real estate is still reasonable and, as you said, the restaurant, retail, and arts scene is on the rise.

I think all the areas that have breweries in it right now have some of the best locations as far as property value go. East liberty is on a huge upswing. Braddock is another town that in 10 years could be great. i think a brewery would work well in Swissvale area not for from regent square and easy to get to.
