    hey guys,

I found 2 six packs of zombie dust dated 2/20/15 in my basement that I forgot I had. Should I just throw them out or is there any chance that they are fine, just will taste different.

    Thanks for the help

I'll be blunt, they'll be gross. Let us know when you crack one.

Don't handle those without a hazmat suit! You might consider calling poison control.

    Try one...

In my experience, Zombie Dust and Gumballhead drop off, FAST. Fresh, they are just incredible... After two months they taste drastically different. Not bad, but they go from being 10/10 to 6/10.

I bought a case about 2 months ago and it drops off quicker than any beer I've ever had. It's mindblowingly great the same day it goes into the bottle. A week or so later it is still great. At a month to 2 it's still good, I'd have to agree just good nothing special.

So... out of the fridge for 6 months?
I mean, it won't kill you, but I wouldn't be excited to have one...

I would save it for when you're hammered and won't care. Because yes, that shit has fallen off a cliff by now.

I think it stays pretty solid for 2 or 3 months, the hops die out and the juiciness becomes a pepperiness, after that it'll just taste like cardboard

I don't think I'd ever throw out a beer without at least tasting it first...for science, ya know.

Serious question. What do you think will happen if you drink them? I'm assuming you've had ZD before and know what it tastes like fresh. You also know these will not taste fresh. Unless you're bypassing fresh beers in your stash to drink the old ZD, I don't see why you wouldn't drink them.

You are breaking new ground considering how sought after Zombie Dust is. Seriously, give it a go and report back. I don't have high hopes but what the hell...

Drink one. If it tastes fine, repeat. If it tastes like shite, drain beers, recycle bottles, learn to check basement a bit more frequently.

I read that some newspaper in Indiana said that Zombie Dust is not that great, and stuff that isn't good can never be "ruined," per se, so you're good.

For christ's sake man do you really need to come here and ask if you can drink a beer that is a few month's old?

Man up, pop the cap and have a taste.
