The perfect time for a silent release!

    A closed door release.

I'm not worried in the slightest. Having worked at WB during that time period I drank more of those beers than you could possibly imagine. Hell I saw more spilled on the ground while bottling than most will ever taste.

That's great, glad you got to be a part of something. You could have left the judgement at the bar though.

That would be the most awesome move ever.

"You guys released BA Cake yet?"

"Yes, we sold out of it yesterday."

    "But, you were closed yesterday."

    "Yes, we were."

Cool story bro, maybe you can sell your shoes on Ebay then if you stepped in some.

Hype, hometown pride, chest pounding, madness. Most entertaining thread on BA right now. I hope they never release them just so this can continue.

No one knows, but they were already released. The buyers had to sign a contract to never speak of it and to continue building the hype online. It's a brilliant strategy. They're hoping people will still be asking into next year, just in time for the 2016 release.

Actually, they released BA Mexican Cake months ago as plain-old Mexican Cake. Sadly, many people didn't realize what they were drinking.

You don't have to worry, as this is a sequel to last year's thread. There will be another one, like the Fast & Furious franchise.

Lots of drama. I can't wait for these bottles to come out, hopefully they were able to produce even more this year, especially between so many variants, I'm looking forward to all of them except Pappy, I'd like those to go to the locals. Lots of folklore going on though, typical South Carolina story tellers.

Apple Brandy alone sells for $450 on the secondary market. By that standard, if you just want to drink it, the brewery is the cheapest option.

As always, don't believe any rumors or speculation. The only person who knows anything about the release is the owner of the brewery.

There is no hometown pride. Most of the people posting on here hate Mount Pleasant. Except for Mike and I. We are proud residents of yuppieville.

And I've had them all numerous times, but would enjoy tasting them again now...$450 is a drop in the bucket compared to what it would cost to trade for them, assuming you could find them! Especially if it is split amongst 3 or 4 guys wanted to share them for a special occasion...work hard, play hard!

I would pay $450 for the 2013 set if it came with a time machine to take me back to when they were fresher and drink them then. But I've got to imagine these babies are well over the hill by now and drinking one would basically be just for the tick and to say you did. Maybe I'm wrong, but Cake isn't exactly a beer that's renowned for its ability to hold up over time.

My wife and I split our last JD back on Mother's Day (which was also my birthday). It was still fantastic! I guess I need to sell my AB on the secondary market so that I can go to WB and buy 3 more!!

Wrong side of the wrong river. You belong there. Mike and your wife, not so much.
