Anyone in for a bottle share at the Super 8? We are Heading back shortly.

 

I heard that this would be the last normal bottle release, and that JO's will just be doing silent releases from now on. Can anyone confirm this?

 

I wasn't there, but would be very surprised as JO's releases are spectacular fun and usually very chill.

Unless something went dramatically awful today...

 

It sounds like they might have a different format for the anniversary party the first weekend in December. Not sure about future releases though.

 

I'm not surprised by this. I was planning on coming down with my 500 or so mules. I'm not kidding either.

 

Regardless of what JO'S does the ******* from Ohio will whine. These guys run things flawlessly and are true professionals! Unfortunately ohio has some of the biggest whiners in the beer game! Get your shit together Ohio neck beards!

 

What's the new format? I could go down and drink drafts and be happy w/o bottles...hope that's it...drafts only.

That's exactly what I did. I enjoyed it thoroughly. My first one and definitely won't be my last. I'm already thinking about the next one.

 

A lot of people were saying it would be draft only. Brad hinted at the draft list being ridiculous and confirmed Citramosa and Nutted Brick Kiln. I already can't wait, even after looking at my credit card statement from this weekend.

 

The release was great sure it was bigger but I got my bottles and arrived at 6 and they did a second run. Sure some bottle sold out with only around 150 but who care. There release are better then 95% of others

 

Is there anything left after this weekend's festivities? Maybe any Oro Negro?

 

I think there is still a good amount of Oro. BB Champion Ground is worth the drive if you are within a couple hours. A good amount of it went this weekend, so I would go grab what I could if I were you. If you enjoy coffee stouts, you will not regret it. Fantastic stuff. Everyone down there kept talking about it and ordering another.

 

Brad confirmed definitely no calendar page bottle sales at the anniversary party this year. Despite how smoothly the release went this time, it's just getting to be too many people for that format of release.

There will definitely be bottle sales at the taproom across town, just like Oro and Champion Ground this weekend.

I look forward to the party, I'm sure it will be most excellent and much more chill without the 2-3hr line on Friday.

 

When was this? did you just ask when you were in line getting bottles ?

 

Already counting down. Love the idea. I am just getting too old (and too cranky) for lines at any release. Can't wait for a more relaxed anniversary party with a killer taplist and less #newmoney.

 

I just wanted to mention how great the service was across the board between the brewpub, public house, and production brewery. All of the bartenders, servers, bar-backs, etc...were great. There were even two girls who's first day at the brewpub was on Friday so I give them a lot of props for dealing with all of us on such a crazy day!
