Its hard only thing thats keeps the waistline in check is eat smaller portions and walk or run everyday at least 2 miles. Keep the body moving swim, bike , and walk on a regular basis. Wake early like 4 and get going.

I'm more a weekend person with wednesdays too (at a bottle shop tasting event) myself. Don't really have the need to drink between them though I will occasionally have a beer with dinner. I don't find I think beers are better or worse because of my lack of drinking. Maybe it's all in the mind.

    Uh...

I drink every day... I am having beer or wine with dinner.. .this is not a problem...

Get home every day, crack open a brew review it, that's my reward for dealing with this bullshit sometimes called life.

I manage to at least stay active, but as you get older that's a challenge

Well Snoop Dogg smokes 81 blunts a day so I don't see the issue with a few beers a day :stuck_out_tongue:

So sorry to make you rant. My purpose wasn't to justify anything. I'm old enough to be your much older brother and I don't give a crap what other people [other than my wife] have to think either. And next time have a beer or two before responding. 1st & 3rd sentence written tongue-in-cheek, by the way.

Thur/Fri/Sat only usually. Sometimes another weekday. Sometimes nothing on a weekend day

Id recommend not drinking 3+ beers a day 7 days a week, mainly for the health ramifications it can present... i.e. withdrawal symptoms in the future

Heckel and Jeckel (Avatar?) would agree with me that you
are NOT a disgrace to beer drinkers. You don't have to and I
believe that you shouldn't drink every day. I catch myself
sometimes wondering the last time a night I did not have a beer.
That tells me it IS time to take a break. It's OK and it does make
having your next beer a more anticipated and enjoyable experience.
No REAL beer drinker would think you have to drink every day. Just
when YOU feel like having one.

Thanx for the encouraging words but I just put the disgrace disclaimer in to keep the ball busting to a minimum.

Much older brother? What's your age? I doubt that. Don't be sorry I like to rant once in awhile. And honestly the thread has been done numerous times. And if you're still dreaming about drinking beers you have an issue. I don't need to dream about something I can do if I Want to. You asked for thoughts - i gave you mine. I have nothing against the way you decide to imbibe. You insult me when you insinuate that I was drunk when responding. Way off base my friend. Carry on...

I've gotten to the point where I don't like to drink to get drunk, but I usually do drink everyday. It's great to work in a brewery because you are drinking small amounts over the course of a day, so you are not burdening your senses with pint after pint, but instead a taster glass here and a taster glass there.

It truly is wonderful to be able to drink great craft beer for a living in the middle of the day, while at the same time not drinking to get drunk.

But yeah, on a real note...#datmilkthistledoe

Once again you decide what you want to read into what everyone is saying here. Basically it's what makes you feel comfortable and what is right FOR YOU. I really don't think anyone thinks OP is a disgrace to beer drinkers. That's just ridiculous. And what's a "real beer drinker" anyway? You could plug Gatorade, soda, cheesecake or any other thing in with the same result. Be smart, practice moderation etc. And if I'm "dreaming" of having a piece of cheesecake and its in the fridge I think we'll I'll have that- because I enjoy it and I'll make it up somewhere else. Whether it's excersise or sacrificing something else. Anyway I'm beating a dead horse hear.....
