Returning after a brief hiatus. Decided to go with a personal favorite. Even brought out the matching glassware:

Skunky nose, and the Nelson Sauvin hops are overwhelming. I like dank, but I feel this is too much. Have a great day!

It's never too early to get... "wrecked."

This was the result of another infusion experiment, in which one and one-half ounces of product were carefully removed from each of six bottles of EF. The bottles were recapped and the removed product was placed into a French press with bourbon-soaked oak chips, cracked coffee beans, cacao nibs, and a scraped and sliced vanilla bean. The product was left to infuse in the refrigerator for several days, after which the liquid was strained and measured and bourbon added to bring the volume to 9 ounces. The bottles were opened and topped off with the infused liquid, then recapped and allowed to "age" for several days.

I decided to sample this from a snifter in order to preserve as much of the aroma as possible. As it warmed to around 50-55 degrees, it really started to develop some character. The flavors of the coffee and vanilla became more pronounced though not overpowering, and some warmth from the bourbon began to come through. Nice bitter finish, with some lingering oakiness.

Here's hoping your day begins so well!

The day is young and so far cool so another cellar pull stout before it gets hot out. [IMG]

Good morning BAs! Looks like rain here in the hill country - may have to stay inside and drink beer all day - bummer! I did find a source of WOOT so I'll be heading back there again to buy them out (if they have any left). Today's Texas breakfast is:
