Planning on attending this year but have never been to this event at Armsby (did Lord Hobo last year).

What time does the line start for this? I have gone to Stoutfest the last 3 years and have lined up about 2 hours before the brunch ends (never scored tickets). Would that be a good rule of thumb? I know that this instance once people get in they don't leave until the Zwanze pour. With the recent amount of HF flowing through there, I'd imagine it might get pretty crazy so any advice helps. Thanks, folks.

If @HOP-E-DAYZ doesn't bring me to Zwanz at HF, I was thinking about attending this as well.

Someone on instagram maybe AmrsbyAlec posted a list of stuff they recieved for Zwanze. I'm trying to find it now and it looks like maybe they deleted it. It was a bunch of stuff though, Iris, Fou, Geuze, Kriek... not sure if I saw any Lou Pepe's.

In general, I haven't been in previous years but plan to with a friend who has gone. He said that it was a lot more relaxed experience than Lord Hobo's. Showed up for lunch, no crazy line, hung around at a table until time. That may change this year but we shall see.

The envelope contained cash. Cantillon has to pay to play just like everyone else

Last year I showed up right around opening. Bar seats were already full and bottles sell real quick, so make sure to ask for a list right when you get in. Beers on tap lasted while I was there up until the tapping of Zwanze. I was lucky enough to grab bar seats right before it tapped. You should have no issue grabbing a table if you have a group right at opening.

All details including tap list will be released shortly. If you've joined us in years past for Zwanze you know what to expect as we're going to run the same way. There is no squatting for Zwanze as we're insanely busy for Brunch as it is. So...if you're coming for Zwnaze, 1pm is your starting time. We impose a 2hr time limit on tables prior to that to insure no one is coming in and squatting. We are militant about this. That said each year the event has run beautifully and everyone has been happy. It's pay as you drink, first come first served. In all the years we have hosted Zwanze no one has been shut out. Everyone has made it in and all received at least one pour of Zwnaze.

The envelope in fact did not contain cash but Zwanze Day temporary Tattoos. Fact

we need a ba table. it'd be the most official table there.

so all the zwanze stuff, not just that beer, starts at 1. correct?

In past years other goodies were available at opening, but the Zwanze beer itself is held for a toast at 3:00.

ok cool, thanks. so I wonder if we can go and then come back around then for the zwanze still? know they don't want ppl staying forever which is actually cool for everyone. some of the others are doing similar but passing out chips or tickets for that. I just definitely am driving up for more than 1 beer. hope it can include that. do they do glasses or shirts too?

Armsby is always my Zwanze choice. Run so smooth. Alec does a great job with the event.

Anyway....Here's my attempt to add something useful to this nearly derailed thread...in an effort to help protect our brunch crowd a bit we have decided this year to not sell any cantillon (draft or bottles) before 12pm on Zwanze Day.
    I

Also We will have glassware and Tshirts commemorating the day available for purchase. Price is yet tbd.

    All details coming shortly.

    Enough with the trolling.

Some people here are actually interested in the event.

To all the people who complain about lining up early and telling people not to do it? What is your solution? Having everyone show up at once and fight it out to get spots in line? Please enlighten me....
