Why no quadrupels 6-packs?

Or am I just blind? Anyway, I really like quads, but only find them in 22oz. or 750mL formats. Is this a massive conspiracy against me or is there some mundane economic explanation? Would anyone besides me buy a 6-pack of quad (even at $20+)? I have heard that St. Bernardus makes 12oz. bottles, but I never see them in stores. They must either sell well or not ship out that many.

We see some in 12 oz bottle 4 packs in PA. I think the brewers may avoid 6 packs because of pricing sensitivity. People are more likely to spend what it takes to get the 4 pack, but the 6 pack seems too expensive.

Edit: Given the prices in PA and even in DE, where there is no sales tax, a 6 pack of St. Bernardus would cost you more than $20 and closer to $30 than $20.

St. Bernardus 12 ounce bottles come in 4-packs. My local beer retailer sells that 4 pack for about 25 bucks.

    Cheers!

The tripel rarely is seen in a sxpack either. Only victory and weyerbacher. Some beers need to be sold in a 750 right? The quad, the Tripel, the BSDA, the Saison. These should be plentiful and cheap but that's the bottle.

I'd throw in they may be too expensive to make and not moving out of the store fast enough to warrant 6 packs yet.

Isn't Boulevard Sixth Glass available in 4-packs as well? I think at a much lower price point and still a really solid quad (albeit one made in America and not Belgium).

I see a lot of 4-packs of these. Unibroue, for example, does several. I've seen and bought canned and bottled saisons in 4 packs, too. I agree that almost none appear in six-packs, and the 750 seems the standard for most.

The OP was asking about Quads; those beers are Tripels.

    Cheers!

Elevation recently started selling 6-packs of the Tripel (Third Base) and Quad (Apis 4).
Both are using yeasts that are a bit more neutral and less spicy than Belgian examples, however both are delicious.

They wouldn't sell. $19.99 is the highest package price that seems to move safely, even in stores in the highest demographic areas in my experience. We can get the St Bernardus 12 330ml bottles, but if they sold in a six-pack we would price them at $28.29 -- and our beer margin is very reasonable.

Three Philosophers is offered in 4pks. It is around $16 in Connecticut. I love Ommegang and Three Philosophers but I couldnt see myself dropping $24 for a 6 pk. I imagine the brewery looked into that as well. So, either the brewery can offer it a a 4pk with a more attractive price point or in a 6pk that is more expensive overall but less expensive per beer. Which would bring there profit per beer down. Plus, quads arent the most popular beers at the moment so why make a bunch of product that may or may not move?
And I know this may not be the case for ALL Quads or all 4pk formats. But on average higher priced beers seem to be in the 4pk format.

Price point. They are usually available in 4 packs, but even the 12 oz bottles are often sold as singles. They don't sell all that quickly, I often see some st bernarbus, rochefort, or chimay with a few years on them in stores I think selling a $30 six would hurt sales vs $5 singles $20 four packs.

I'm sure it varies by region, but we have Boulevard Sixth Glass, Gulden Draak 9,000, La Trappe Quad, Ommegang 3 Philosophers, St Bernardus 12, and Unibroue Trois Pistoles available in 4pks.

I have never seen Belgian beer in a six-pack (or in a four-pack).
