Wow, @JNForsyth ! Came home to a random box (I have been shipping a lot recently so I wasn't sure what this one was from). I recognized the name but due to the crazy nature of work the last two days I was unable to open at the time. So anywho today dragged by as I counted the minutes till I could get home to this bad boy. So I open this mystery box after realizing that this was an unprovoked attack upon my poor porch to find this...

Wow, thanks @UTvols05 AND @JNForsyth ! Congrats on the likes dude. The pRon...

Nice box @Mipper! Matt I had you on my list of Mango Sourer requests (yes I have a list, I don't have enough bottles to cover all the requests but I'll work on getting them out after I get back from vacation) so when Eric said he was sending you a box it was perfect timing. Cheers bud, you deserve it!

Can't speak on Hilton Head but @treznor is there right now so maybe he can help you out.

As for Savannah I did a lot of research and settled on lunch at the Crystal Beer Parlor. Great food and they had the best mix of locals and interesting stuff on their tap list, I'd recommend that you stop by there if you get a chance. Green Truck and The Distillery also look like good options as far as bars go.

Stopped at Hops & Barley, decent little bottle shop, nothing mind blowing but the had plenty of Westbrook, Orpheus, and assorted other local cans. They also have a ton of Prairie bottles on the shelf including Bomb!, Funky Gold Mosaic, and Birra, as well as a few others. Habersham beverage has two locations in town and is more like a liquor/wine/beer store, didn't get a chance to stop at either of them.

There are 4 breweries in town, Southbound and Service look to be the better of the two, I had hoped to hit each one but we only made it to Service Brewing. Both were only open from 5:30-7:30 Thursday which apparently is a new thing as just recently GA state law has allowed breweries to sell on premises. Service is a real clean, well organized brewery. I bought the top tier tour package which got me six 6oz. samples (they had 9 beers on and the bartenders let me try the other 3 as well) as well as a 6 pack of cans to go, you could also go with 2 crowlers if you preferred. The beers was solid yet unspectacular. Everyone was cool though and we had a great time there, they are veteran owned and operated and donate to various military themed charities so that's pretty awesome. Now that I typed all of this out I see that you will be there on a Wednesday and of course they are not open, oh well, I'm not deleting this all now.

@UTvols05 knows the lay of the land much better in Savannah than I do so maybe he can chime in as well.

Last night I was putting together a few boxes of beer to send out and I put together 1 extra. So here is my LIF to help me thin out the cabinet.
    Part 1:
My 9 year old son when he is not eating, swimming or playing lego's, absolutely loves to read. Guess how many books are currently on his book shelf.
    Part 2:
My almost 7 year old son when he is not eating or swimming is a lego-maniac. Guess how many pound are currently in his lego bin?

This LIF is open to current members of the Local's, SWTFYWers, and TNKOTB (newbie BIFers)

PIR rules do apply. Guesses must be in by Friday Sept 4th 11pm EST.

    Cheers

It's close enough to 11pm EST. All guesses have been checked and rechecked. Since this was a 2 part question, I ended up with 2 winners!

My reader currently has 145 books on his bookshelf. The winner for part 1 is @tommyguz with the exact guess of 145.

My little guy has 19.4 pounds of legos in his personal lego bin. The winner for part 2 is @SRBush1974 with a close to exact guess of 19 pounds.

    Gentlemen, please BM your info.
    Cheers and congrats

Just for my own sanity that is BA Sunny Side Up. BA Sunshine would be a barrel aged, fresh hopped, sour. Sounds intriguing actually...

Sorry for missing the thread most of this week... been relaxing the hell out of this vacation

On Hilton Head you're pretty much screwed for craft beer as far as I can tell. Many places will have a couple options, but nothing particularly adventurous. There used to be a beer store on the island; its gone now. The one pretty decent place we found was the Lodge in Reilly Plaza about halfway down the island. Its right past the Greenwood Drive traffic circle where Hilton Parkway becomes Greenwood Drive, right near the entrance to Sea Pines.
