Does Four Winds distribute to Ontario (Toronto area)? I am traveling there from Southern California next month on Four Winds has been on my radar for awhile.

    Cheers!

Unfortunately, I think the only way would be to trade with someone who have some in Toronto.

We need Four Winds in AB. It was great to get Driftwood in the Spring. Now Four Winds.

I'm in Toronto and would love to trade for some four winds. Nectarous has been eluding me for too long.

You don't want Four Winds. It's terrible stuff.

What are you looking for? I'm from BC and live in SoCal now, so could mule stuff back for you if I can even get my hands on it. That being said, don't even ask about Edna. =b

Maybe I just suck at finding things, but does anyone know the release dates (or approximate) for their sours (Nectarous etc)? Thanks!

Seems they just release them whenever they're ready, I haven't really found and rhyme or reason to their rotating releases. I doubt we'll see another batch of Nectarous until winter time though.

There's a bit of an in-joke locally about everything always being "about 2 weeks" away... seems like that's the de facto response to pretty much any questions as to when something is coming out. @FondueVoodoo I remember was waiting and waiting for the tequila ba berliner (pequeno cabo) to come out, having heard it was a couple weeks away... a month later, same thing... I think it eventually came our 4 of 5 months after the initial 2 week estimate? So yeah, very much a case of "it'll be released when it's ready".

That said, I did 'hear' that a new Nectarous batch was due soonish, and what with how great that beer is fresh I would expect it shouldn't be too far away. Maybe a couple of week.

Good to know! Do they announce on Twitter or anything when the releases actually happen?

I have a bottle of batch I and at least one of batch II, would love a batch III

I hope you mean "had", not "have"? Cellaring a dry hopped kettle sour is up there with cellaring an IPA. Of course it's your beer, do with it as you please, but... you really ought to be drinking them within a couple months of release. The thought of them sitting there getting worse makes me sad.

Me too. Just a couple weeks away...

Depends on definition of worse, the dry hops will subside but the sourness will develop in an interesting way. After about 4 fresh I kept one out of curiosity from each batch. Batch II hardly had any hop presence anyway, not like batch I anyway. I plan on comparing them over time as an experiment.

Fair play. In my experience kettle soured (i.e. just lacto) doesn't develop interestingly at all, perhaps just gets a bit more or less sour, but you don't get any funkiness or anything coming into play like you would with something traditionally soured. And couple in all the fruit and hoppy flavours from all that Galaxy fading away and it's just not a good scene in my mind. But by all means experiment! I've preferred both batches the fresher I've had them (having gotten through about 6 of each batch over the course of a couple months), but they are still fantastic even when faded a bit.

Their Fresh Hop beer (I forget what style) should be out really soon
