Thanks for that- I probably should have seen for myself before commenting in any event.

If you drink a Pauliner after a flavorful ale it will be less tasty than normal. Did you drink anything before?

Sounds like you poured a Paulaner Oktoberfest Wiesn...which then magically converted into a Marzen! Wish I knew how to do this, except in reverse.

Since you said it changed color in 2 seconds, it may have been an optical illusion caused by escaping CO2. The bubbles reflect light and diffuse it, thus making things appear less dark. Once the rush of bubbles subsides, the true color appears.

Is this offered in a calendar format????? Don't care how many beers she can hold at once----just a single stein for me is fine enough!

    in case youre not trolling:

    Paulaner has 2 Märzen Beers.

Paulaner Oktoberfest Märzen-which is amber in colour
Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier (Wiesn Bier)-which is pale in colour and is the Paulaner Oktoberfest that is served at the Oktoberfest

This looks exactly like the liter(s) I had at the Hofbrau tent in Munich.

The bottle I had yesterday tasted great to me, maybe just a slight notch below this year's Weihenstephan Festbier (also pale), but that by no means is an insult to Hofbrau's version.
