I've liked what I've had from them on my trips to the LA area - would love to have more opportunities.

Very true. If their bottle prices were normal, their beer would be pretty hard to get I'd imagine. I'm okay with the prices for accessibility's sake.

This is exactly what I was going to type when I saw 4 Hands mentioned. Madagascar especially seemed like it broke the seal for them in terms of their hype level.

Not to mention a couple of fantastic hoppy beers that aren't IPAs: Blazing World and Fortunate Islands are both outstanding beers. But one is a wheat and one is an amber--both seemingly death-knells for gaining big-time attention.

I'd disagree, they're competent brewers but they aren't seeing OH, a lot of their stuff is mediocre. Much nicer tasting room than OH though.

Victory and North Coast. So what if they're easy to find? Doesn't lower their quality.

Sierra Nevada and Victory definitely come to mind; at least on this site. Now that I'm finally over judging them by their labels, I'd have to give a nod to Weyerbacher as well.

I'll also have to agree with the people mentioning Boulevard and Uinta as well.

For sure Jackie O's. Their beers are outstanding! Someday the Brew Kettle's White Rajah will also get the love it deserves.

I agree, their beers are amazing, but they don't make an IPA, nor make people wait in lines or chase trucks.

Cellarmaker. Nobody is talking about them.Maybe if they start bottling their IPA's then they'll get some nationwide recognition.

Barreled Souls in Saco, ME. Really enjoy their stuff - they do some really big beers (scotch ales, imperial stouts, etc) that are definitely worth a try if you are in the area.
