You'd be even more bummed to find they are in $15 four packs.

Ruination 2.0. Enjoy By has nothing in it.

I have never had an IPA/DIPA that tastes or smelled of onions or garlic. Dank, yes; but that is entirely different.

Most Mosaic and Citra hopped beers after a couple of months start to take on a onion and garlic flavor for me.

@do_ob Ruination 2.0 and a lot of other stone beers have a huge overly ripe banana type deal going on in them in my opinion. I like it, But I feel a lot of their IPA offerings taste the same.

@Ri0 I've never picked it up in Citra or Mosaic beers. Most Mosaic beers always seem highly floral to me, even passed its day. But hey, this thread shows palate subjectivity :stuck_out_tongue:

Yup, I agree. I've noticed many of the session ipas having that onion/garlic flavor as well. All Day IPA being one that seems to stick out in my mind.

Grunion has become quite oniony to me. Don't drink it anymore and I love most BP.

This years vintage I got some major onion and garlic, especially on the nose. Hop Slam definitely has the pine resin, but for some reason, I got onion and garlic this year.

Several different Trillium IPAs, but it works really well. I find myself craving that flavor profile.

Really? The last thing I ever get from Trillium is onion and I'm pretty sensitive to the flavor.

Mosaic gives some people (like me) a strong green onion/garlic flavor. Not necessarily an unpleasant flavor, but certainly distinct. Ballast Point Grunion and DC Brau Solar Abyss have displayed this most strongly.

Am I the only one who has never had an onion beer? Ive had plenty of beer, and plenty of onions....but never an onion beer or a beer onion....although for some reason I am now craving a beer onion.....

Great Lakes Chillwave with over two months on it is a great example. I vote Mosaic. Like it fresh, not so much with time on it. Also Victory Hop Ranch that isn't real fresh.

Gubna is no longer an onion bomb since they changed the hops up. Deviant Dales however is definitely still a bloomin' onion in a can.

Yep. Arguably my biggest pet peeve in beer culture is when someone describes said IPA as "Dank" when they've never blazed one a day in their life.

That, and unintended infected beer that went sour, thus becoming a "wild ale" then getting pawned off as such at a ridiculous price as such...
