So was this release just a preview of the circus that will erupt once JK releases their "coolship/spontaneous fermentation" series?

I may be a rare species out there, but I enjoy all the moaning that goes on here about Jester King.
I think their beer is unrivalled in the TX vicinity and that is why it creates such responses from people. I sometimes side with the moaners, but most of the times with JK. I always find it fantastic that Jeff comes on here to answer and discuss stuff. I think some of the moaning has helped the JK staff to make the process of getting sought out bottles better. Also some of the moaning is bulls“t. But it's really hard to draw a line. In the end I like the moaners coming on here because it's just that, moaning. I has not in any way (in my opinion) diminished JK's reputation as the premiere brewers in TX. And sometimes, it helps point out a process that can be streamlined.
Being that I live about 6+ hours away from the brewery, I get to visit rarely. Only once or twice a year. The information that comes out here is very helpful for lurkers like myself, in order to plan ahead when visiting.

I feel pretty lucky that I can drink Yellow Rose whenever I want. It always holds its own when going up against walez IPAs that I trade for. Makes me wonder why I do it lol.

I'm pretty certain you have the wrong guy. He's not much of a complainer. If anything, he's too positive. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Every time I see this post about a reserve society I think about Crooked Stave. CS cancelled its reserve society for some banking concerns? But IMO these type of forums helped spell the end. Social media sites where people feel free to criticize the product, the time the product is released, the price, the label, the line they had to wait in etc. etc. Sure their is positive comments as well but the negative criticism leaves a mark. And I don't think a brewer/brewery has time or wants to take the time to deal with these type of comments from its reserve society members. My Sour grapes yes, do I miss the 12 cases of Crooked Stave delivered to my door every year Hell Yes.

And yet, there they are persistently being the worst.

It's not traders in general, everyone knows that. It's competitive traders and the ridiculous secondary market that suck. I blame Pokemon.

i would be willing to bet that the majority of the people who actually drink a bottle of it aren't the people who actually stood in line to buy it. Lol
