Repeated my Simcoe, Mosaic, Amarillo IPA this morning. Got an extra 3/4 gallon out of the kettle, so pitched Orval dregs into it. Also kegged an Oktoberfest and a Schwarzbier.

I have two starters going for me to pitch tomorrow. One, WY1007 German Ale Yeast, goes in the extract Berliner Weiss that has been souring with lacto for the last week. The other, WLP585. goes in an all grain, somewhat petite saison, that I will brew up tomorrow (German pils, cluster bittering, saaz late additions)

Attach a blow-off now, if you haven't already. That yeast is the most aggressive fermenter I've ever used.

Already did, and put some towels down. Thanks for the tip.

I can't wait till next year ... And the year after etc. I just wish I could get a rhizome of Amarillo, citra, mosaic, or simcoe.

Love hearing about others squeezing the fresh hops to get more/better beer .

I kegged a Falconers Flight single hop Northeast style IPA and a Pinner clone this weekend and was planning on brewing up either a Zythos or Green Magic single hop IPA or a Brett Saison, but my old wort chiller is done for, my new wort chiller won't be here until Thursday and my freezer went out last night so I can even do an ice bath to cool my wort...looks like I'll catch up next weekend. With 4 homebrews on tap and around 20 different batches in bottles, I think I can survive this apocalypse

Just brewed an IPA somewhat inspired be the Northeast IPA thread, and pitched Conan yeast built up from a can of Heady Topper. My second non-BIAB all grain batch, still trying to dial things in. I overshot my volume and undershot the gravity.

Just checked the fermenter full of stout... yep. Still there, still chugging away.
*pops open ipa and chills out*

I did a split batch on my NE IPA. I got 5.5 gal in one bucket with London Ale III and 2.8 gal in another with Nottingham. I'll dry hop them the same and ultimately see which I like better. They are both bubbling like crazy and off to a good start.

My base beer for the hard root beer experiment has finally finished fermenting. OG: 1.063, FG: 1.001. Perfect! This will be added to 1 gallon of Sprecher root beer syrup then carbed. Here's a pic before I started crashing it. Tastes like a better version of Coors.
