So I had a major brain fart and put my freshly bottled brews directly into the fridge on Friday. I am going to pull them out when I get home from work and keep them at ambient temp.

Did I already kill my yeast (and any hope of carbonation)?

No you didn't kill the yeast and the beer should carb fine.

I assume you are not talking about a beer made with lager yeast to begin with. I might give the bottles a little bit of a shake when I move them to a warmer place to re-suspend the yeast a bit, but they should come back for the 2nd round once they are warm again.

What they said ^. When you put them in the fridge the yeast just fell asleep. Getting the bottles back to room temp will wake them back up again. If the bottles are in a case of some sort, I'll usually flip the case upside down for a moment, and then flip it rightside up again. Just another quick way of getting the yeast back into suspension in the bottles.

You have space in your fridge for 2 cases of beer?? Lucky!

Haha yeah, I have a dedicated beer fridge in the garage. But it was only 1 case; I brewed with a buddy and he took 1 home
