Hey all. I am going to make the run to Tried Hands this Friday for my birthday, and my babysitter fell through. Those who have been there, is it kid friendly in any way? Could I bring my 4 year old daughter and not be considered an asshole? I really wanna go, but if it's a no-no to bring my daughter, I'll just go some other time.

    Thanks y'all!

If you're going to the fermentaria it shouldn't be an issue.

Went there with kids myself--a two and a four year old. iPads made it easier, but there was no issue with the place.

Watch out for exploding growlers. Bring a cooler if you're planning on buying one.

You may also want to bring some snacks/drinks for the kids. No children's menu at Tired Hands, and nothing on the regular menu that is all that exciting to kids.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, really appreciate it. Think I should do reservations if I'm going ona Friday? Probably couldn't hurt.

As for the exploding growlers - that is still going on? Lame.

Also, what's the situation for growlers? Do i need to go to the fill line, or can I order them from the waiter/waitress? I usually just ask the waitress at Victory and then she just adds it to my bill. I don't want to be rude and do that at the Fermentaria if that's not how they roll.

You can order anything from the waitress/waiter (growler fills, merch, etc). Just make sure you give them plenty of time as it may take a while if the place is crowded.

Ferm is very kid friendly. I always take my 4yr old son to the Ferm. He loves the burger.

If you're planning to go during the day, reservation won't be necessary. If you're going after 6pm, I'd recommend one.

Don't miss out on Oat Potion if it is still on, that beer is something special. Also, this batch of SaisonHands is just killer.

Just a heads up, they are doing a bottle release this Sarurday 9/19 so if you are going then, may be more crowded

Every time we take our son they put us in what we've been calling the "kiddy section" off to the side and not near the bar, which is actually fine with us because we don't feel like he's disturbing others if he acts up and there is plenty of room to keep him in his carrier and stroller. There are usually other families with children near us. Our kid is young so I can't say for sure, but I think they might even have toddler seats.
