Drinking The Fridge Down

Yes, similar story. Been drinking my stash down over the summer. Most recently have been enjoying the He'Brew 14, 15, 16 & 17 anniversary editions. Obviously a couple with some age, and did turn a bit boozy..., but wow ! Most of the summer just picked up a few regular favorites and any new items I came across. Focus was on clearing the shelves.

 

Only time I ever really have much of a stash is when I homebrew. Livin' that poor life

 

I've been trying to drink mine down too, but I just got back from a 6-day pub crawl in northern Michigan and the UP which 'caused' me to purchase more stuff to add back into the vacated space of the fridge. Most of what I bought is everyday drinking beers and is not intended for cellaring, so it should be easy to regain that empty space in time for my next trip.

 

Yes, I'm drinking my fridge down too. I started on January 1st.... of last year.

 

Drinking down my cellar (a bit). Winter is coming.

 

I keep drinking the beers in the basement in an attempt to not have many left, but I keep buying stuff at roughly the same rate that I'm drinking. Just call me Sisyphus! My fool's quest is to drink most of it by the end of the year, and I'm not making it easy for myself. We'll see.

 

I drink my stash down all the time, can't help my self. I am a poor beer stasher !!!!!

 

After the (long) winter I had a TON of stouts in the fridge - tried to drink some of those down with some friends to make room for some other stuff. I don't usually like having as many stouts on hand in the warmer months so had to work through them!

 

I had to drink my entire fridge inventory before I moved. Once I got down to about 10, I moved them to the kitchen fridge so they wouldn't suspect anything. It didn't work.

I maintain no beer fridge; only a beer cellar. It has much more room, and I've been consciously saving up my "big" beers over the summer so that I have a nice stock of warming barleywines and such to keep me going through the impending cold, dark, long Alaskan winter. Much like a squirrel builds up a midden all summer for similar purpose.

 

I drink steadily enough that I can't build up enough to reach that point

 

We just did this tonight in preparation for a massive share this weekend. Down to only about a dozen bottles in the fridge now.

 

I always have to "drink the fridge down" in November, getting rid of all the seasonal octoberfest and pumpkin beers to make room for stout season.

 

Ditto. I've been building up a stock of barley wines that I think I will attack when December hits.

 

Im drinking down in an attempt to eliminate my cellar entirely. Its drink fresh from there on out once i do.

 

I've also been drinking a lot!

 

I turn 30 in about a week and intend to take down a large part of all the beer I have acquired over the recent couple years. I won't be going to GABF sadly, but I will be drinking like I am apparently.

This summer I have been drinking mostly IPA's and sours so some of the porters and stouts I have are sitting around in my frig for a while. I have been trying to drink some of them as of late so it opens up more room in the frig going into the fall.

 

Yep. Have a cold right now so drinking the couple Stone delicious and ipas that were out at 7/13 ouch. Not too bad though with a cold. hope I get better soon so I can enjoy these 21 grapefruit sculpin cans.
