This 2013/2014/2015 FBS vert is happening today, quality control for the people with which I plan on sharing the balance.

    First up, 2013

The 2013 is aging nicely, from cellar temps ranging 55-60 and finishing in fridge @40 degrees/6 months. Damn fine start. Little oxidation at the edges, more chocobomb and silky smooth oats than anything else now. Carbonation and head suffer slightly. Nose is dark roasted malt and little else.

    Cheers!

It's time to revisit Tree Shaker Peach Imperial IPA. Here's hoping the second time around is better than the first.

Afternoon! Gearing up for a weekend away starting tomorrow. Going to try kayaking for the first time (I'm a late bloomer).

Also trying this for the first time:

Actually enjoying a Troegs Mad Elf, 2013. It is 80 degrees outside. Glad this is not seasonal.

Great shots. If you run out of room for those cans of SoS, I have an extra shelf in my fridge.

    Sticking with the flower theme ( @Prager62 ) !!!

Sly Fox banged it with this ...

... besides the cool pewter matte finish ...

... the can that drinks like a glass!

Anything coming off a can of Sip of Sunshine is going to pale in comparison but my buds are finally adjusting. Even though they're a local brewery (and I always try to support the local brewers whenever I can), Sly Fox has fallen off my radar for a long time, 'just couldn't get excited about their beers any more. Last week when my son ("Thing 2") and I were at the Phillies game I decided to give the 'ol fox hole a second chance and it was one of those "eyebrow raising moments" with this new IPA.

... So much in fact, 'went out and "got me some" today which is a first in years. Balanced throughout except at the end where the hops really shine through and the resin gracefully builds and pounds the 'ol palate (sort of like a jacked up British style IPA with a building citrus bite). No complaints.

I made a border run for this because I love Bell's and really wanted to try it. Our distribution system is little to be desired, so who knows when and how much we'll see around here.

Another flavorful and robust stout by Bell's that reminds me of Expedition with some cellaring. Rich but a tad more refined and less alcohol bite. Very nice, I hope some went into a barrels!

    Seems just like yesterday......

I lost this in my stash back in the day and decided to cellar it for science. I'll have to crack it open down the road when I return.

    Review for those interested.

A little something as I savor my final sips......
