Hi all... I hope this post isn't illegal (didn't appear to be against ToS) but I'm in a state where getting this beer is impossible. Ive spent time googling and I can't figure out how to make ends meet. Is there a resource or distributor who can ship it? I can't exactly afford a trip out to Chicago for a 6-pack. Thanks for your help!

Nope sorry. Best bet is to post an ISO post in the trade forums. Either that or make a pilgrimage to Munster, Indiana. Good luck

You can pretty easily trade for it - check those forums. Not sure there is a "legit" way to just buy it and have it shipped to you.

Thanks for the feedback. What's an ISO?

In Search Of. Basically a trade request. You post beers you have to offer for beers you want to get. There are plenty of people who can trade Zombie Dust. It's about $10 a six pack so don't let anyone fleece you.

I picked up a six pack of Zombie Dust today from the brewery, if you shoot me a personal message with an address to ship to I will send you a couple of bottles scot free.

    Cheers!

Wow. I must be shopping at the wrong stores. I don't think I have ever seen a 6 pack of 3F's anywhere near that price. Usually they are $16 and up in the Chicago area. I have only found one sixer of zombie dust on a shelf anywhere and I paid $18 and was happy to get it.

They are $10 a sixer at the brewery. I doubt anyywhere else has them priced that cheap. Usually around 13-15 at any liquor store you are able to find them.

To be honest, I would only recommend people trade for ZD which was bought at the brewery for two reasons 1) as you mention retailers will jack ZD prices up an insane amount because people will pay for it and 2) not saying all traders of ZD are dishonest but I'm sure there have been instances where traders have purchased it at the brewery for $10 and then said to their trading partner it cost them $17 or whatever as they claim to have purchased it at their local bodega. It's most reliably purchased at the brewery and for the cheapest price so that's why I'd recommend that for people ISO. I know most people are honest but a lot of BS still goes on in the trading world.

And kudos to @BigRedDog . Well done sir! Good beer karma your way.

Walked into Caputo's in Naperville 2 Saturdays ago and they had (note - HAD) a case on the shelf. Think it was $44. When all else fails, make the run to Indiana and pick it up. They've got a To-Go Kiosk now, it's pretty easy in and out. It's pretty accessible if you work for it. I'll be there Sunday.

ask for bottling date if trading with someone relatively new (or just always ask - no harm done and no one will take offense). I've seen $16 ZD on shelves over 5 month's old - pass - and then never return to that store if you see that! It will have dropped off significantly by then and not what you're looking for.

If going to the kiosk, and you don't live near the brewery, check their "To-Go" online listing. Its pretty up to date. Usually ZD doesn't make it past a day or two, and its usually released on a weekday, so dont bank on seeing it to-go on your Saturday road trip. On tap - no worries.

OPs in Utah. Not much to trade from that state.

I just saw ZD for the first time at retail in the Cleveland area. I guess my shop (& its distributor) is honest as I have purchased it for $10/6 at the brewery & locally it was $2.22/btl so just over $12/6 (though I only grabbed two as I enjoy letting others try new things vs hoarding). Not a bad markup going through distribution IMO. It wasn't quite as fresh as from Munster but still very enjoyable.
Big +1 on making the trip there if you can. Website is usually accurate or they may have a couple additional not listed and the food doesn't suck either.

I've been wanting to make the 2.5 hour drive to Munster to get some Zombie Dust. Is there a limit?

A 2 case limit is normal for this one.

My sister-in-law is driving near Munster next Sunday and I planted the seed that she should stop at 3F for me. I went on their website under the "beer to go" and didn't see ZD listed. Totally bummed me out as I've wanted to get my hands on some for a while now. So what's the deal is ZD a limited release? Any chance they will have it back in stock by next Sunday?

Usually don't stock ZD on weekends, but might get lucky?
